Default Another one of these kinds of threads :)

The 28th of every month is special to me, since I first saw Avatar on the 28th of December and registered for ToS on the 28th of June. So as you can guess, today marks one year of being on this forum for me. And it has been a good year and a good decision to join. Whenever I've had dilemmas in my life I need to discuss, I know I can bring them here and get some pretty helpful insights, and truly - they have been helpful and I'm grateful for everyone I've spoken to here. I don't know how I would have gone on in certain cases if it wasn't for some of the well-timed advice I received from fellow ToS'ers.

If you think I've been good to have around then I am glad; if I have disappointed or ticked you off then I am sorry for it, 'cause I like to be as positive as I can here. Avatar left me feeling unexplainably positive in multiple ways for a long time after first seeing it; I try to keep that feeling going whenever I can.

...and if I play my cards right for another year, I might just be able to say all of this to many of you in person!

I've said it before: the movie is only half of the experience; the rest comes from the people you meet through the movie. So here's to you, dear friends, and here's to Tree of Souls; it's been great being here so far. And now I must leave, as I'm spending the next few days hiking and searching for those slices of Pandora-on-Earth many of us have been trying to find.

'til later,
Empty Glass

Kaltxì. Although I'm fairly new to ToS and I don't know you all that well, I will still say happy anniversary I definitely know what you mean with the movie being only half the experience and the people you emet being the rest. I consider all my fellow fans my extended family. Meeting some of them earlier in the month was like a famnily reunion. Anyway, have a good anniversary day and enjoy your hike

It's the community who make it all worth it. Everything we've been through, shared, understood and experienced. That is why Avatar is truly great, it does something no other can
Avatar brought me into the open in a way, having somewhere where I no longer need to hide my emotions and how I feel, and not to fear something but embrace it.

I can honestly say that the people here have, and indeed, still do, get me through a lot, ToS and Avatar itself are the only reasons I keep going

I am looking forward to meeting some of you next year, and then for Avatar 2, I am going to go all out to arrange a meetup

Empty Glass... I am so glad you are on ToS!
You became a very special friend, & I wonder if it would have been possible without Avatar & ToS?

I just conversed with Alan about the feeling of "not fitting in this planet", & Avatar confiming & amplifying it... but curiously, I do feel that finally, there is a place to fit: on ToS! I've never seen more like-minded people in the same place. Like-minded about something important to me of course Really keeping all the fingers & toes x-ed for the next meetup!

So yes, yes, here's to ToS. So many of us found our true clan here.

ToS is somewhere where the people who don't feel at home on Earth can at least share some of how they feel as they wish for Pandora

Wow, I completely agree with everything said here.

Over time the feelings toward "Avatar" have slowly shifted from 100% movie to about 70% people here and 30% movie. You guys are awesome.

awesome. Be sure and post some pics if you take a camera and I hope you find that "slice" of Pandora while you're out there.
