ISV Venture Star, what sort of makeup do you use, how does it not get it all over the sheets when you sleep between the first and second part of the paint application? Do you paint by hand? Judging my the amount of time it takes, it seems like you must.

Yes, it's PAX (I mix my own from pros-aide and ordinary acrylic paint) and yes it's all applied by hand, although I'm planning on using an airbrush and some alcohol based paints to temporarily 're-activate' the PAX base for the application of stripes in the future

PAX doesn't come off on the sheets. I could go swimming wearing the stuff.

I'm looking into some better paint for next time, that certainly sounds impressive , although I'm looking into some of the other linked ones too.

this is going to be AWESOME!! Thank you so much for organizing this Sarah.

I'm afraid you can't count me in as being a part of this (not really my thing ), but I am really really looking forward to it.

I will help people get ready as I did last time. Just tell me, thanks.

I asked the guy that does me. He does horror make up for a living. He did the Twilight Series. He has done a lot more too but that is the best known one.

I asked him about PAX and he said that it's shiny and it sticks in the air brush. Is that true? I'm going over to his place tomorrow and we are going to cut back the Reelmagik face prosethics so you can see my eyes more. I wear the black light yellow contacts.

What did you do for your ears? The Reelmagik one are a little small for me and my ear lobes come out the bottom. I need to use a putty to make it smooth.

Liquid latex is shiny (that's why I don't use it) but PAX seems pretty matt to me. It does stick in the airbrush which is why I apply it by hand (with sponges and brushes). However, I'm considering doing the stripes with an airbrush and alcohol based paints on my next attempt (November).

I have no plans at this time to dress up. (Sorry)
However I'll happily bring my Tsko Swizaw with me if someone would like to borrow it. Might even have a better one made. Could bring both. Yeah, anyway, I'll bring enough stuff to take down a couple of gunships.

And I will also bring my personal weapon of choice: my camera.
I will very happily shoot people in the costumes (and the process involved also) of those wishing to be in front of the lens.

I'd be happy to, although a few of the people here may well have better costumes than me, I think

I've never really organized anything like this before. I always thought organizing something like this would be lots of work, but when it's something you enjoy it really doesn't feel like work at all. I look forward to updating my list everyday. Are you the same with "the list"?

Extra props are always welcome. I dread the day I have to find a way to get my long bow checked on the plane. You said you used a very long tube, so I'll have to get one of those I guess.

Shall I put you on the list as our photographer? You did a fantastic job in June. I'll look into nearby locations for a good background for a photoshoot. Besides the museum of coarse, a park or something might be nice.

This is going to be the largest group of Avatar cosplayers together in one place to date, it certainly will be awesome. I'm super psyched.

Do you still have your tube it came it? Mine was shot after I got my bow. I FedExed my stuff to the hotel. I don't want those tarmac manics near my stuff.

I bought my bow in person, it didn't come in a box or tube.

I don't have a bow... don't really have the cash for one and bringing it would be difficult anyway, so I will have to be without one.

Mikkowilson brought his bow last time, and lent it to MOMs ball avatar, you could probably borrow it this time since mikko said he'll bring it again, and MOMs ball avatar will probably bring his bow this time.
