Want to narrate an astronomy YouTube channel?

I'm now accepting applications to apply as narrator for my channel.

I've been receiving feedback that a voice-narrated channel would be much more popular so I've begun searching for narrators for my videos.
I'm looking for:

• An informative, entertaining and 'nice' sounding voice.
• Someone with adequate resources (eg. audio recording equipment) to record their voice with a good degree of quality.
• Someone who is (generally) committed to helping me out. Depending on the number of narrators, you will be asked to voice a script within a day or two's notice of my request.
• Fluent (or somewhat close to that) in the English language
• A "neutral" accent is preferred, but not necessary. Basically, no heavy accents.

NOTE: This is NOT a job. I don't get any significant return from Google's Partnership program at the moment, so you will not be paid for voicing scripts.

This is merely a hobby of mine, hopefully, it will be for you too. I'm looking for someone as interested as I am in making these videos.

You will need some form of uploading, storing and making available audio files for me to download and use in the videos. This can be organised between us.

I may accept more than one application for narrator to relieve workload on one particular narrator, or if one is busy, or if I both think you're awesome at narration!

I'm already placing 15th in Most Subscribed Science Channels in Ireland since starting last year and with your help I hope to enter the Top 5.

Obviously, if you do apply, I will ask you to send in an audition file of a small script I will have made out. It's nothing big, just so I can get an idea of your voice.

There is no specific closing date of applications, but I already have two emails from subscribers wishing to be narrators so I will come to a decision in about a week or two, or whenever the next video closest to that time will be.

If I had an Adequate Resource that was not my webcam microphone, I would totally love to give this a try. I used to do a radio program on my college station after people kept telling me that my voice would work well for radio work.

Sorry to hear that guys. Ye guys would be good candidates for narrator
I'm not looking for someone with a $200 audio recording kit. I just can't work with someone who's recorded themselves off webcam or something. As long as your voice is clear and audible it should be fine

And who knows, maybe someday in the future if you do manage to get something to record yourselves, I'll probably give you a spot on a video or two, or more if people think you're good

Aaaaaarrgh this sounds so cool, wish I could do it but I don't meet the qualifications for equipments. I will definitely keep this in mind for later though, if I do get something for proper recording, I will pester you to let me try one out
