You can surely say whatever you want about the dreams, but I primarily made this thread for the lolz and to hear wacky and bizarre stories. Seems like it didn't really take off though.

Racial disclaimer: This dream explicitly states race. If you will be offended by this, skip this post.
Anyway, had one last night that I was back in New Orleans and walking up a street. In New Orleans, bad neighborhoods are kind of spotty and distributed throughout the city-- there's no one bad neighborhood. So, I was uptown, and walking past a happy looking white couple. They were dressed in really sporty looking clothes and were wearing toe shoes. At that moment, I remembered that I too was wearing toe shoes, and I decided to take off running as I often do sometimes when I get the urge. I ran a few blocks, and then I heard a voice say, "See that white girl running? She's running from us because we black." And I was like, bitch? Nuh uh. So I stopped running and just started walking, but didn't turn around because I didn't want to be super obvious. Then, I was tackled to the ground by two skinny black dudes. They were laughing and kind of weakly restraining me, but I got away pretty easily. They caught up with me again once or twice, but I threw some weak punches and got them away. Such is the life in New Orleans, I remember thinking.

It's from a very funny film, where they accidentally wipe all the tapes in a video shop, so they record their own ultra low budget versions of each film on the tapes, which become hugely popular.

Last night I dreamed I was on a train and there were some people from ToS hanging on the outside of it, for some reason. Was quite a weird and short one.

Maybe it's something about the meetup?

oh, thanks! I've read the link definitely sweded!

I had one about Seattle-2011 meetup a few months before the actual meetup happened. Some ToS members decided to meet, & it turned out some were humans (Tom Hanks & Schwarzenegger included ), & some extraterrestrials. Three or four were pure Na'vi, and some of a similar race but instead of white shining "stars" on their faces they had lines, like a leaf veins, white & green bioluminiscent. It gave them a strange & fierce beauty.

There was one very strange extraterrestrial who looked like a stick figure with a huge head. I remember thinking: "He surely has a big brain, but I wonder about his heart". Then it turned out he had... two heads. They were constantly bickering, either in unison against everyone else, and if there was nobody to attack -they argued with each other. Poor alien! he was never in peace.

That sounds like a fun dream!

The only dreams I've had lately have been late dreams. Whenever I have the slightest anxiety about being late for something, whatever the reason, before I go to sleep, I'll have upwards of six dreams about scenarios where I am late. I have them a LOT at the beginning of semesters. I think a fear of being late is the only real "anxiety" I might have. The dreams will be ridiculous too, like when I realize I'm late I want to kill myself Example: earlier this summer, I had a dream I was late to go somewhere about 30 miles away. The reason I was late was because my dad and I both forgot where we were going and went in the opposite direction on the interstate for four hours. When we finally realized we were in completely the wrong place, it was too late to even go back that day. I was so angry, I woke up yelling incoherently two hours before my alarm went off

good you laugh about it! I have late dreams too, & I hate them. Especially being late for an exam (doubly hated cos I know I didn't attend to any class of that particular (usually disliked) subject ). I wake up with such a relief when I realize that exams are Over! no more exams for me - unless I sign up for studying something I really enjoy, then it won't be such a trouble at all

It's true. The similar one is not having done an assignment. They keep going on well after school/university, but that never occurs to me in the dream

Lucky? Not really - it feels really bad in the dream, almost like a panic, before then waking up.

I guess I misunderstood you. I thought you had no Dreams about not being able to cope with an assignment & were simply talking about a general type of dreams occurring to some people that's why I said you were lucky.

It seems what you meant was quite the opposite: in a dream you get scared about not coping & it doesn't occur to in a dream that you're actually all right, so you wake up panicking.

Ha, sorry, well that's Not that lucky. I take my congratulations back.

Interesting. This reminds me of a friend's dream. The guy is a techno minded programmer so he doesn't normally believe in "this tree hugging out there hippy stuff" but that particular dream made him wonder.

In his bedroom, he had a bookshelf right above the bed head. it was there for years, nothing ever happened. In that particular dream, or rather nightmare, he saw the shelf falling down & splitting his forehead. He woke up with a jolt & sat up on the bed - & the shelf went crushing down right where his head was seconds ago.

The dream happened to save his life & that fact gave him some chills.

Interesting one - it's possible he perceived it shifting and it managed to get through to his mind even when asleep - humans spent millennia watching for threats such as predators while sleeping and those instincts are still there
