I'm pretty sure it started as crap in English, so that probably means it's going to be correctly written the whole way through in French. Congratulations, you picked the good language in which to read it

hmmm ...unfortunately, I didn't pick the right language! I thought french didn't have slang (in literature, I mean), but it does!
There's no commas and there's so many sentences without verbs! Not that I really care about grammar, but it gets annoying after a while...

Holy frak, yep. I'm sure it gets annoying in any language. Unfortunately, I had to read it for a class

Just finished the last book in the "Old Mans War" series. (4 books)

Science fiction story about where 75 year old humans join the Colonial Defence Force and get younger bodies to fight other races with in intergalactic conflicts. Sounds like it would suck, but I really liked it. Read all 4 books in about a month. The Fellowship of the Ring got kind of boring, so I took a break from it. Maybe start reading it again.

Hahaha!
I've read the trilogy and the Hobbit. Not the other few books that are based on the first age and the creation of middle earth.

Poor Enzo. I read those about a year ago, and I think one of the funniest bits is when Jared's squad (in Ghost Brigades) watches old sci-fi films, and everyone wants a lightsaber.

On train to Melbourne this weekend (and then back again Monday), which is roughly a ten hour trip. Roughly twenty if you include going back as well (two days spend on trains in four - I AM INSANE. But oh well). Given I read fast (and also, you know, double digits in the journey length), I have the following books packed to read:

When A Billion Chinese Jump: Voices from the Frontlines of Climate Change by Jon Watts
Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas
Secrets of the Code (collection of articles and essays on various bits of the mythos that Dan Brown played around with in The Da Vinchi Code - I actually found the novel itself very boring, but this book is the best $5 I ever spent. Essays and musings on historical, religious-mythology and symbolism are things I just adore)
Sharp Teeth, by Toby Barlow

Of these, I've started When A Billion Chinese and am finding it really, really, really good. I've also read Count of Monte Cristo before, but ages ago, and it's been a couple of years since I've sat down and read everything in Secrets. Never read Sharp Teeth before, and am looking forward to it.

But at this exact moment in time, am reading Hearless, fourth of the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger. And so far, it's just as hilarious and ridiculous, with dark twists, as the previous three.

Impressive indeed. I guess there isn't much else to do on the train

Very true Human No More. At least in books and most music you can be transported into another world.

Victoria is fun! And oh, yes, nothing much else to do on a train - already polished off 'When A Billion Chinese', and I REALLY recommend it to everyone here to get a good understanding of the ins and outs of what's going on there.
