Default “You think you're one of them?...” Driving Quaritch mad

Every time I watch the confrontation scene between Jake and Quaritch and Quaritch reaches out inside the shack after breaking the window, I can't help but to imagine this alternative story.

The night before the fight, amidst all the preparations, Jake found a few minutes to perform another ceremony in which his mind is transferred from his real body to his Avatar, so for the fight he doesn't need a working linker.

Quaritch breaks the first window, reaches out inside, opens the first linker, Norm isn't there because his Avatar is dead. When he approaches the second window, instead of panicking Jake laughs and goes back to help Neytiri get up. Quaritch breaks the second window, opens the linker, and, surprise! There's nobody there. He's like “What the hell? Where did these avatar pukes go?” and Jake is like “Well, I'm sorry dude, but I am actually one of them.” Then they detain him and force him to watch how his people are banished from Pandora.

Kind of good, but I'm definitely glad he died.
I'm just annoyed Selfridge didn't... maybe in Avatar 3 (Due to the fact that he is a minimum of 12 years away from a reappearance even if he jumps straight onto another ISV when he reaches Earth).

Nice alternate scene, I'd love to see Quaritch's face when he opens the link to see nothing there.

That would really have been funny. Though it would have prevented the epic and ceremonial ending of the movie, it would have been priceless to see the look on his face

while scrolling through this topic and seeing the gif in your sig which says "Team jake Sully" i suddenly thought it would be perfect to replace the text "team jake sully" with "YOU MAD"

I'm surprised that they left him go after he authorized genocide against the people. Even I who believe in mercy towards everyone wouldn't have let him go without making sure he's held responsible for what he did. There's no excuse for what he allowed to happen. But either way, I prefer them alive and watching get defeated.

No way we would let this happen, so this can be only something in your mind, but I still love to think that it could have happened.

Epic! But when I watched Avatar for the first time (cinema, 3D) and I reach this moment, it has really touched me. After those 2 hours of the movie I was literately ON the Pandora and then... ''Time to wake up''. Because it's true. I will never be one of them. And our world will never be like that anymore.

If you have seen CE edition and you have seen deleted scenes no. 288-327: "The Avatars Attack"... You will know what I think about this Selfridge's WTF-like face

He wasn't evil, or even really bad. He was just another corporate lackey who cared more about doing his job than any repercussions from it being done. So for that, he needs to die???

Would it be satisfying though? Yes.

imho that scene should have not been deleted. When we see "the skypeople exodus" & hear "only a few were allowed to stay", apart from Max & Norm in acrylic masks (btw: how their life on Pandora without an Avatar body would be like??) there are some Avatar drivers pointing guns at skypeople which made me wonder: is having an Avatar body the only reason to have been allowed to stay on Pandora?

"The Avatars Attack" is a much better reason! (imho)
