Well, to those of "you", I say I don't think the three act deal makes a good movie. I might be a writer too (more likely I'm not), but more often, I find it bothersome, but again, that is imo and I'm not calling you guys wrong.

The three act plot is pretty much ubiquitous, it's just more or less obvious. Avatar, Star Wars, LoTR and pretty much all television shows all use it.

I never said that the three arcs by itself (and why the quotes around 'you'?) makes a good movie. I was just explaining why people find poking at such things interesting.
