Lucky me, my media room is in the corner of the house out of the way and it's all set. 1080p 72 inch DLP tv (3D ready although I don't need that yet), 7.1 surround sound, and a PS3 with the drive empty. My school is doing an all day Earth day program (which I helped organize) so as long as I don't have any tests the following day I should be fine.

I say get the headphones and get the family out of the house.

3-d ready with DLP?

I haven't been staying super up to date on it, but I know DLP is 'old' tech now, and that the 3D t.v's that just came out use proprietary technology that would require you to purchase one of them. Unless you're using the red/cyan split... But I'm 100% certain that no television on the market (Apart from the brand new 3D ones that came out in the past few weeks) can display 2 images at different polarities.

Edit: Ignore the above, I just did my research. You're pretty lucky, that'll be an awesome experience in your own home theater!

I already pre-ordered it in Blue-Ray, so a Blue-Ray player is an absolute must anyways

Short of finding somewhere other than your house, there isn't a whole lot else to do I'm afraid
Yea my newest pair of headphones cost me $150 (I could've bought an 800 watt strobe light for that) and they're extremely comfortable and have amazing sound. Yea although I most likely won't watch it in headphones, I'm going to watch it with the 2 pairs of speakers I have in my room. I'm going to make a big sign that says, "Watching Avatar, absolutely NO distractions!!!" and make sure my whole family knows about it haha
