Says the guy who's painting the majority of environmentalists as misguided whackos.
Take it from the guy in the environmental movement. I see what things are like day-to-day, and they are not how you characterize them. At all.

Are you claiming most environmentalists are? People want sustainable civilization.

I will agree with this one. Not to butt in on the conversation.
But I've been caught up in arguments with her before about that kind of stuff.

Wtf has happened to this thread
Ok so to bring it back on topic, I am quite against any kind of genetically modified food. The reason being, I don't know what's been done to it. EVEN if whatever the hell they pump through it doesn't have a negative effect on the body (which I'm still yet to see evidence for) it hasn't come from the Earth that has supported us for hundreds of thousands of years. It's a trust thing really, would you trust your life to Earth, something with no agenda and who has kept your species alive and healthy for so many thousands of years or would you trust to it humans who will be out to make a profit? This question will no doubt determine whether you are sane or not If GM food is going to be allowed on the supermarket shelves, it should be labelled clearly, that's all. Then people can make an informed decision. Simple, everyone wins, nobody dies, hooray!Until I see some irrefutable evidence that GM food is perfectly safe and will not damage a single cell in my perfectly healthy *touch wood* body, I'm personally going to stay well clear of this aptly name 'frankenfood' :p |
