hmmm i still like princess mononoke the most.

Think i like the bit older anime movies over the more modern stuff/series (ones i have seen anyway).
Some i find over the top or too stretched out.
A few out of my head that i really liked:
Akira, Vampire hunter D, Ninja scroll, Bebop that kinda stuff.

Also saw The girl who leapt through time recently, liked that one aswell.

Angel Beats! is incredible. I just finished it yesterday!



And I just finished the second season of Sekirei this morning. Was very fun to watch. Plus there's boobies!

Was watching Full Metal Alchemist with a friend a few days ago, thought it was pretty good but a tad bit "sad" for my taste.

Well, I have quite a list of favourite anime... and several of them share a trait: original score composed by Yoko Kanno...

Series/OVA:
  • Cowboy Bebop
  • Earth Girl Arjuna
  • Ghost in the Shell - Stand Alone Complex & SAC 2nd Gig
  • Wolf's Rain
  • X 1999
  • Noir
  • Hellsing Ultimate OVA
  • Angel Sanctuary OVA
  • Death Note

The first five have music by Yoko Kanno. In the Hellsing Ultimate OVA, one famous singer of songs composed by Yoko, Maaya Sakamoto, performs as Rip van Winkle and sings the song "Oh diese Sonne" from Carl Maria von Weber's opera "Der Freischütz" - in German with a cute Japanese accent.


Movies:

Anything from Studio Ghibli (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Nausicaä, Castle in the Sky, etc.)

Oh right! I was in here and I saw Clannad, thought parts were pretty funny but generally I found it to be slow paced. Lost focus a lot :/ but hey, I'm no anime connoisseur.
