Am I only an Animal?
Am I human
or am I just some evolved animal? Why do you want to limit all that I can be to simple particles of matter and thought energy? What of my dreams hopes and fears? What of my lonliness and my tears? What of my joys and aspirations? What are these? qualities of an evolved animal or something more? What my desire for children and grandchildren too, is it only for procreation and the legacy of my memory? What of striving for nobility, truth, justice, compassion, empathy, qualities that transcend the ordinary? Is this not part of being human that is extraordinary? Why common sense in a senseless world? Why bother then to strive for anything? If from dust I came and dust I return and in the end it does not matter? Why can I not believe in something that Evokes me to Higher Spirituality? Why are YOU so afraid to do the same? Do you think the less of us or Yourself because You cannot or have not experienced it? Because you cannot Transcend the small ego self for the Guidance of Hearing the Higher One? Only you are to blame Burgeoned with shame guilt, lack of faith and trust? Its called A Leap of Faith for a reason Because only a cup that is empty can be filled! 2011
