Only as an idea: maybe to add in your post above for the people who didn't participate in the chat that it was decided on two groups: "backpackers" is a "rough it out" unit with super stamina, & Everyone group is a "take it easy + backpackers" group.
Ah, & backpackers will probably meet at some point in order to arrive more or less at the same time?
good idea to make that known. I made a timeline

Also, as a suggestion for one of the future discussions (Alan started it ): what to bring? Like, warm clothes - yes, but also wind/rainproof. Food? low weight + high energy (energy bars & the like). Energy drinks are better than water (they restore also the mineral balance = less muscle aches the next day ("trust me - I learned the hard way "). Tents - some tsmukans have tents for 2, 3, 5 persons... That's for the future discussions of course, but some things will have to be bought/rented, it would be nice to start investigating the possibilities & prices. Recommendations from experienced outdoor clan members will be very welcome Only as a suggestion.
definitely a lot of stuff to work out yet. I think we can get it all organized in the next 6 months.
"learned the hard way" - I hope it wasn't anything too serious.

Great to see things shaping up
^^^oh no, nothing serious. Just toddling for two days accompanied by "ouch! ouch! ouch!" at each step

You did a wonderful job on the time line. Well done!! Any idea on how we get the supplies and people to the campsite and back to Seattle? We are using tents while camping, yes?
