"We Dream You"

I'm looking for a tree to stay,
A people I can trust,
Yet, I cannot find today...
Amongst concrete and rust.

Detritus rules this putrid place,
In laughing masks of gold.
Locked also in a ruthless race,
We're blind until we're cold.

A blinded eye sees not the light,
Or modicom of ways.
It simply sits, observes the right,
And claims it's comfort glaze.

Refuse do we, to leave this path,
And throw into the dark.
Lest we incurr the horror wraith,
Left comfort, sparse and stark.

The truth, I feel, is far from this.
A life yet so unseen.
No lone and lost, empty abyss.
But light and love and gleam.

A race it is, will always be,
The truth that is a fact.
Yet running real, so lost and free,
Seems better that a track.

I'm looking for a tree to stay,
A people I can trust,
Yet, I cannot find today...
Amongst concrete and rust.

I'm looking for a real community, but I can't see it for all these people in the way.
