I had been moving in and out of various scenes with the offbeat weirdness that seems to characterize some of my dreams, but eventually I reached this: I was getting chocolate cupcake-flavored ice cream at an ice cream stand, only this particular stand was on a moon of some planet. Or maybe on some small, spherical planetoid. Stars and the blackness of space were visible all around me, but very close by was another small planet-like world. From what I could see from where I stood, the world was a park where dozens of other people were also eating the ice cream they had bought.

"Okay, so I how do I get there?" I wondered. There was no bridge or anything appearing to connect these two small spheres. But I figured I could just jump up, break gravity's hold on me, and simply fly to the park-world. And that's exactly what I did, albeit with a little bit of a tumble onto a grassy slope.

It was after a minute or so after eating my ice cream and looking around at everyone also lounging on the grass that I realized I must be dreaming, for how could I have actually flown by myself? Suddenly everything went hazy. "Wait, I don't want to wake up yet!" I managed to stay in the dream by thinking about a particularly offbeat occurrence that had happened before I got to the ice cream stand. Once everything came back into view, I ran up the slope, flapped my arms up and down like a bird's wings, and went airborne again! I dropped off my metal spoon from midair overhead another little stand in the park before I came back down to ground again. I wanted to keep on flying, so again I ran, furiously flapped my arms, and took off as I went up a little ridge of concrete pathway. As I flew again, I heard a voice on the ground say "Duuuuuuude!" in amazement - to which I thought "You should try this too!" I was quite enjoying myself and the place I was in. I saw a mountain just ahead of me, and to my right was a smooth, crystal clear river with trees alongside it. Something about the way it looked made me think of a Japanese garden. It was all very tranquil, and the cool bluish hues of the scene made a very calming atmosphere, suggesting a pleasant evening.

Eventually I thought as I flew "I should go visit Pandora...but I'll do that once I get back on the ground!" I would have flown on through a valley I saw, but the dream went hazy again and this time I could not return to it. It would have been nice to have it last a little longer, but hey - it was still pretty awesome, and I got to fly!

Well, dang! I want to fly
I bet that ice cream tasted real good too

I have never been able to fly. In fact, on many occasions that I realize it's a dream, things only get worse. I'm running from someone who I realize is unbelievably wrinkly (it's always some weird quality I notice in excess), and think, I'm dreaming! But all that happens is, I slow down, like I am running through rising water.

Well for the record, this may be the only dream I can recall in which I could fly, so it's far from a common thing for me. (Though I would like it to be!) I recall having one other lucid dream many years ago in which I tried to simply jump off into the air, but that didn't work and the rest of the dream was on the ground. I don't think I would have been able to consciously fly had I not already done it before I went lucid.

And yes, the ice cream did taste good, though it seemed like a ridiculous flavor. I was reminded of something also ridiculous from WALL-E: the sep-tua-centennial cupcake in a cup. It was either vanilla, mint, or that.

There are probably ways you can make your own dreams a little more savory. What they are, I don't know, but there must be some escape you can devise from whoever that wrinkly person is!

That sounds amazing

I almost flew once, but woke up when I realised it was a dream... I could feel myself waking up, and really didn't want to. That wasn't a nice feeling

EG flying dream: imho it was a great dream. You were on a different planet, you jumped on the other one just like that - by pure will power, you flew - again, by simply willing it, & even when the dream was getting hazy - you stopped it from dissolving by saying you didn't want to wake up yet! You willed it all the way thru, That's impressive!

I had a flying dream a while ago, it was very simple: I was sliding backwards & forwards under a stone arch as if I were skydiving but I could chose my direction & speed by simply willing it. The funny thing was that I was thinking: "Great, I dreamed so many times that I was flying - & now i am doing it for real!"·

But sooner or later I had to wake up of course...

So, I had another flying dream last night. Although it wasn't a lucid one, it was still pretty great. It started out with myself and others in parachutes, high enough to see the curvature of the Earth, and then eventually we seemed to be without parachutes and were simply gliding downwards on our own. I spotted my university's football stadium from above, zoomed through both goalposts, shot upwards in joy, then gently planted my feet on the field before comically falling down on my back after so much flying.

I was writing it down after I awoke, and as soon as I was done I got a knock on the door and was informed that my car had been broken into.

Sooner or later, you always have to be woken up, sometimes rudely!

Yesterday I dreamed that my father was a scientist and we were right on the sea.
Around us nothing. Then I was in the water. And my father on the boat.
He told me I should take pictures of a white shark.
I had a mask on and a snorkel.
And I had a camera that could take pictures underwater.
The pictures were all taken with flash.

Anyway, I am submerged with the head and down there was just nothing.
This feeling was really not nice. Around me there was only dark. As in the night. We simply have not seen anything. And yet sometimes I just took pictures. With flash. Just so you could see something. And I've made about 10 pictures. And in every picture we saw a great white shark came closer and closer.

The dream was really scary.
Just check out You'll have to imagine in your head.
Tell me what you think.

Many greetings

Yes that was really bad.
And it was so real.
I do not like real dreams.

Yesterday I dreamed about being in my swimming pool with Sam Worthington I jumped from the deepest part of the pool, about 2.5 m deep, straight to the roof! Besides, I did some incredible sommersault while jumping, & caught at a rail on the roof with my feet - so I ended up hanging upside down like a bat. Sam stared like this & asked: "How in the world have you managed to do that???" I looked around & said: "How, indeed?!" I jumped back into the pool (with a big very real splash), looked at the roof & thought that it was definitely impossible. Nobody could have ever done such a thing! And yet I had done it. So there was a way - I just needed to remember, how, & then with proper training I could do it again. "Like with the weapon: repetition; repetition..."

Then we went out & people thought we were married or something, we pretended we were but looked at each other & giggled - so happy that we cheated everybody.

But by the end of the dream it was not clear anymore & I was wondering if we were really a couple

PS Sam is Not a type I would fancy! he did a great job in Avatar, & I liked/respected him even more for learning Krav Maga for his part in The Debt.... but dreaming of him as my partner? That was bizarre!

I can't find the Avatar-related dreams thread I'm looking for, so I'll just this here -

I had another dream about ToS. Someone had tried to make a post and somehow broke the forum (accidentally of course!). No one could make any new posts, and only the shoutbox worked. But it didn't matter, 'cause we were all together in this big wooden house in a high altitude valley surrounded by granite mountains.

Yeah, if it was the camping trip, that would be nice... The place that I was in actually resembled many high mountainous places I've already seen (i.e. the Sierras in California). There was a lot to explore, and had I turned lucid I probably would have flown over to a set of particularly tall peaks in the distance I wanted to see.

a thread about ToS dreams? well if you find it let me know! I sure had at least one ToS dream - but I posted it right here, on this thread of "lolz, bizarre & whacky dreams" cos that ToS Meet Up Dream (involving humans & extraterrestrials) was a funny one at least for me.

Dream added on October 8: my stepson came from Germany & brought several dozens of books with him & he put them in my wardrobe they completely filled it, so it was difficult to get to my clothes! I had a look at them & discovered that they were many copies of the same book about 500 pages thick. First I thought it was the Avatar novel, or some book about Avatar cos it had Jake in Pandora jungle on the cover. But when I opened it, it happened to be some dictionary or reference book I was going to tell him off for filling my wardrobe with a bazilion of copies of the same book whereas only one would suffice! & why in the world did he put them wardrobe??? Book shelves / bookcases exist for that purpose!

I guess I got the meaning: Avatar is filling my life completely, there's very little else, & the movie as such is only "the cover", in fact there is so much more to it ("the info inside the book"). But it got to the point that I hardly have anything else: as it stands I have only work & ToS in my life; imho it's time for restoring the balance & finding some other activities! Yeah, some reconsideration is well in order. One "book" is enough, no need for dozens of "copies" - & less, in a "wardrobe"!

I had a dream last night which I was not part of. Generally, these are significantly weirder than the ones I am in.

COLORS

I dreamed about a printer ink salesman eating at a restaurant in China late at night.
"Ma'am, I noticed this ink on the menu," he said.
"What did you notice?"
"Well, it's quite dull."
"You must take that up with the owner," she replied timidly. "My shift is over anyway, and I must go home."
"Why? Here, look at this fine sample of ink," he suggested suavely, revealing a colorful picture of a whale in space. "What if your life looked like this?"
"My life? Never."
"Why so pessimistic?"
"In this town, women are slaves to men," she said sadly, staring at the floor. "I must go home now! Goodbye!"
"Wait! You can leave with me! I'll help you," he said.
"I cannot, I am too afraid."
"Okay, but I'm telling you, you will not find ink of this quality elsewhere," he insisted, extending his hand. "Can you see the colors?"
The room erupted in bright hues of blue and purple, and a whale swam overhead.
