This is one of the best scenes in the game. Being so high up there in the floating mountains with all those banshees watching you is epic. I'm planning to do that one again but this time stay up there till it becomes dark and everything is glowing. It should blow my mind......

As for your main topic, the feeling is still alive with me. I still watch Avatar when the mood strikes (no real schedule), play the game on either PC or 360, or browse the forums. There are times when I'm very busy and don't think about it but it always comes back.

Sometimes I even get it when I do math I especially get it in ToS Through being here and through the meetup(s) and meetup/Pandora dreams I have, you all are becoming Avatar.
Aww I wish I could go to one of the meetups but it's just too far away. Though the maths part is interesting..

Sometimes you can get more feeling if you discover something new in either the Avatar movie, the books or the game.
For instance: I found out that if you leave the avatar game on in a particular level for about 2-3 hours it turns from day to night. It's really cool to fly an Ikran while the stars are out and feeling this huge sense of wonder and wanting to explore the whole area again.

Now all I can think about is flying over a bioluminescent land below the stars.

Excellent. I've tried many times to capture a picture of the bioluminescent in the game but my camera is just not up to it. Those are awesome pictures.

Wish there was some way we could join up and play together.

Wow thank you. I'll post another few screencaps up for for you:

The most interesting thing with this is that there are only normally a few parts in the game where it goes bioluminescent such as Swotulu. So when you see levels at night such as Vayaha village (Iknimaya) or Tipani Kelutral (Soon to come) it looks absolutely amazing and can fill you with wonder, just like the same wonder you get from watching the movie for the first time.

Even if you can't come or don't intend on coming, you'll still likely remain in my dreams. You are a na'vi when we visit Pandora. I'm thinking about making a list of who/what everyone is, what they look like, etc in the dreams thread

WOW! That's so cool Moco, I'm honored to be in your dreams..Although I don't see how I'd be as well remembered on here as some of the other posters.

Could you make a description about Advent and I if you can Moco? Please!

Unfortunately I haven't had any dreams about TOS or Avatar for a while although I think I remember HNM on a train with an Avatar meetup dream and I remember posting with Iron Jones on TOS in a dream.

Wow, the bioluminiscent night! That did revive the feeling

Sempu, I'll be waiting for your books!
and Moco, I'll be waiting for your thread

I guess Silver Stag, Empty Glass & all who camp outside & stay as much inside the nature as possible are right: this is a way to get Avatar here & live it with what we've got. The same for everybody who is trying to keep the feeling alive by applying the message from Avatar (each sees one's own message(s)) in the RL.
I was always encouraging people to "play the cards in hand" so imho I should follow my own advice

Pa'li I hope you win the National Lottery & will come for the meetup! If not... you'll be there virtually, & so shall Advent I am sure!

Naw thanks Apache. What's the National Lottery by the way?
Playing the cards in your hand sounds like some great advice! I really like it.

Ah this is a good question. There are few local woodlands where I live but all of those do not have much wildlife and are frequently visited by people. My favourite places to go are the Forest of Dean and any Scottish pine forest. Either of these is a few hours on the train but it's worth it

Wow the Forest of Dean looks so breathtaking in these pictures..It's utterly breathtaking. You are so lucky to be able to go there.

What a good place to sit and contemplate, as well as getting in touch with nature. Just the place for people in the UK such as yourself to relive those feelings from Avatar.

*Forest of Dean* Magic! thank you for posting this.

Pa'li , winning the National Lottery... means a lot of money! you'll have more than enough for travelling. I guess every country would have their own lottery, like in Spain we have El Gordo (The Fat One - about Xmas) and then The Niño (The Kid - another lottery after the New Year). I never won any lottery though. But no matter, I am lucky in other things. Like friends

Hehe it certainly is a magical place, and there's loads of wildlife in there. A few years back they re-introduced wild boar to the area after they were hunted to extinction. If you sit quietly and Gaia smiles on you, you might be gifted with the presence of one of these fine beasts

I watch Avatar when I can - often, I'm too tired or too emotionally down already to watch it, recently I haven't more than every month or so.

I play the game sometimes when I'm annoyed at skypeople - for all its many and huge flaws, it's nice to be there.

I post here, of course, every single day

Sometimes I go to the forest, although it's really nothing special here.

How did you get those screenshots? For me, only a small part of a single area is night

It's hard for me right now. I've bought loads of posters lately, to try and keep it in my head. I haven't watched the film in months, much less been on here, as they seemed to be completely slow and nobody posted...I sort of wish I had that feeling of amazement back, I miss it. Right now...I dunno...

-sigh-
