I've been dreaming about forum members a lot, as I have been almost ever since I joined and came to know the people here at all. Last night, I dreamed that a lot of us were couples

Most of us, actually. It was a weird one

I had a meetup dream this morning, kind of...

I dreamed I was on IRC and that we had a date for the meetup.

It was a weird one, very realistic, and I was a bit tired that morning and also spent all day reading a new book with maybe 2 or 3 short breaks, so wasn't sure if it was real or not

a Horse Dream:
I was close to my parents' house (8000 km away now) & saw two horses walking around; they were very beautiful, milky-while, dappled & with black tails & manes. They had short bridles on. Two guys said: "They cannot walk around like this, they'll cause trouble - let's get them to a police station" - & tried to catch them by the bridles but the horses got nervous & started kicking & neighing. I was observing the scene thinking I don't wish anybody to go to a police station (that means one is in trouble), but, sadly, the guys were right: if the horses got on the road they could cause an accident.

The guys saw that they couldn't manage the horses & left them alone. And the horses went straight to me, on their own will, & walked around me in circles. The bizarre thing was that I was seeing this from some meters above: I could see the top of my own head & shoulders, & the backs of the two horses walking around. Then I "got back in the body", put my hands on each of them & said: "Come with me!" They followed, very tamely. I did bring them to a close-by police station; they got a bit edgy & looked at me with: "Hey, where are you taking us?" I said: "Guys, I know you're afraid, but it's true: you don't know about cars & you could cause an accident & suffer, & the others will suffer, too. I don't want anybody to be hurt. Let's look for some horse guy. don't worry, ok?" They listened very attentively, moving their ears & staring at me. Sure enough, one policeman happened to be "a horse guy" (some sort of a ranger) & he promised to take them to a horse-riding club far away in the mountains where they freely could run in the valleys & forests all they wanted.

nah, I guess it could rather be influenced by Moco Loco's dreams cos she often sees me as a Na'vi riding direhorses

(Added 2 hrs later: it's not the dream about horses as such that I find interesting enough to post here but looking at the scene from some meters above my own head, and even moreso, this "thought reading" communication. Somehow, we understood each other. This was interesting. If i had a tsaheylu with them that would be at least some explanation but "just like this"? all I can say, "your own imagination is your only limit" - at least in dreams).

Check out the second part of the dream: it was "a dream within dream", like in Inception. I was talking to a (rather skeptical

) ToS member: "You know, I had this dream that I was on Pandora; the forest was glowing pink & purple, & then one direhorse jumped over a creek, & then another. Somehow I knew that they were your horses". The guy looked at me

, like: "Go on, tell me stories! Nobody can have a dream like that!" I replied that I did have it & it was up to him, whether to believe me or not.

But when I woke up I thought: "Wait, my dream was on Earth, not on Pandora! Why then I was so sure - even seeing the dream in my mind - while I was telling it to that guy in the "sequel"? Anyways, dreams are dreams, but it's curious how we are so sure of something - while the real thing could be quite a bit different... I would like to have a Direhorse on Pandora dream too, though

maybe I would even prefer it. Heck, if a horse saw Avatar maybe it would dream that it was a direhorse on Pandora!

In any case, stuff that I think about during a certain day have very little to do with my dreams that very night; afaik myself the info needs to "soak" into my subconsciousness before I start having related dreams. Avatar dreams were a pleasant exception tho, I had one the very night after I watched Avatar

I wish I had something like that more often... like, this night... *sigh*

Yeah, I find I don't dream about something until I've been thinking about it either very intensely or for a long time. After I cut my hair short, I still had long hair in my dreams for about a month

yeah, something like that. When I was in teacher training (yes, I was supposed to be an English teacher

but luckily I found something better to put my energy into!) - we had summer camp practice, 3 months with 40 screaming & jumping kids, & I haven't started dreaming nightmares about them until about half a year later. I guess my subconsciousness was rrrrreally reluctant to dream about them

& only started to process the info when it thought that the danger had passed...

I've been having lots of dreams about religious confrontation lately

In the first few, I was very blunt about my opinion when asked and sometimes for no reason at all

In the first, some organization was setting up some Veterans Day crap that had lots of christian references thrown in. They were doing this in a tiny store of all places, and I couldn't reach an aisle I wanted (I think I was trying to buy Pokemon cards or some other really unnecessary thing

) and I said something about how the display was obnoxious and didn't serve a purpose, and made some half ass comment about religion. A guy directly in front of me turned around and tried to punch me in the face

Good that you stick to your principles even in dreams

I don't ever really see myself in dreams - I know that it's me and if I did look, it would probably look like me, having my tattoo and things, but I can never actually remember having seen myself at all other than as a Na'vi.

Theorist, you know what's even funnier than your Shoe Dream? Today I have gone to a shoe shop, I liked what I saw on the display, but... there was only one shoe. The shop assistants couldn't find its pair for all they tried, & I couldn't help thinking about your dream

I did buy other shoes though - two of them!

Moco Loco, I had a dream about you!

The whole theme of the dream was "good intentions that didn't materialize"

for a variety of factors.
We were in this place - Sayano-Shushenskaya Dam & power station in the Eastern Siberia.

The guide was explaining us how it worked while I was suggesting you & a couple of ToS guys to go & have a look outside cos the nature there was beautiful. But while we were talking what a great idea it was the visit was over

Then we thought of going parachuting, we even watched some videos, & again all said: "Wow, I am in!". But before that we decided that you should cut my hair - and again, we were only talking on how to cut it & it seemed great - but never got to do it because the plan changed again & instead of going parachuting we got an opportunity to visit an... orbiting station

(aren't you happy?). Yet again, we got all excited, & watched a promo video - & didn't get there either

The last thing, I saw a picture on the wall with a text in Welsh explaining some old Cambrian legend & I guess Pa'li was there too with a peacock feather in her hair - she was impressed that I was reading it fluently but I said that I am only reading the words without knowing what they were about

Confusing stuff!

I have dreams like that all the time, but usually with more emphasis on actually being late, since I'm kind of OCD about being on time. In my meetup dreams, I haven't been able to talk to you very much, though I've wanted to. In the dream where HNM and I were on a horse, you were on one too (one of the first to have attempted it) and we were racing

Well, I got a breif memory of a dream this morning, but as per-usual with my dreams, it was crazy and made really no sense.

All I really remember from it was looking at some kind of an optical illusion, I think it may have been a video one, and when I called a friend (who I can't really identify right now) over to have a look at it, they couldn't see any illusion to it. As I sat there, longer and longer, looking into the illusion - which I think I remember was just a black circle, static with no effects at all - suddenly, massive amounts of solid-coloured rings began to ripple outwards from the circle, in all colours and thicknesses, and on all different layers at different speeds. I do think there were also some straight lines of similar effect in the background... I also remember actually being *in* the illusion, as if kind of floating in the space it was all happening in, but not in a body, just watching it from a point. I also seem to remember knowing my friend was trying to pull me out of it whilst I was in the room, to take me somewhere but I was too transfixed by being in the illusion (or what I thought was in the illusion, my body was actually just there, sat watching the screen).

To be honest, these dreams of mine really irritate me. They serve virtually no purpose, they don't take me anywhere and I can't make any sense of them at all. Sometimes, I just wish I could have a 'normal' dream like everyone else seems to. One where they have adventures and experiences and what-not... :/
