Gulls wheel in the crystal sky.
Below the ocean waves crash and sigh. Overhead the moon rises. While below swim fish of many sizes. The turquoise seas have many faces. As a child has had disgraces. Its foam is as light as a feather. No matter the weather. Do the gulls cry? Or the waves die? We wait to see. Nature's great philosophy. Is that everything is cyclical. Much like the ruler's protocol. As a waves crashes another takes its place. When we grow old another will run our race. A fisherman brings up his catch. The gulls eyes his tasty batch. With a swoop the prize is his. The waves continue to foam and fizz. The sun grows flaming amber. Rays from its light grow damper. As it sinks into the violet sky. The moon continues to satisfy.

Wow... this is a really beautiful poem. Full of such rich imagery. I really love particular lines and phrases though

Aww thank you Fkeu. Glad you liked it
I'm a bit rusty but I used to churn out great poems. I have this huge longing for the water and the sea in particular. Like I need to be there to feel completely at home. I was definitely thinking about the ocean being a metaphor for the nature of things going in a continuous circle. Glad I could put it on paper so to speak. ![]() (Must fix up that typo in that poem too.) EDIT: Done.
