Default I have two video game related questions for the board

1. Is Avatar: The Game worth it? It's available for $20 at this point, but..... pretty much since the game came out I've had reservations about it. For one thing, they never released a demo. I've heard it's not very good and only Avatar fans would like it, but on the flipside, I've heard that the game butchers the story, has you killing mind controlled animals as a Na'vi (that seems like a deal breaker for me) and is non canon anyway.

2. Does anyone have the Avatar xbox 360 background theme and if so, how is it?

3. Anyone here play Diablo 2?

I guess I have three questions then.....

No to 2 and 3, but concerning the Avatar game, I'd say you should ask a variety of people. I personally find it has little longevity, but it was still a pretty enjoyable game.

Well to answer Q 1 I'd say that the game is worth the cost. If they were asking more than $20 I'd say it's up to you. The game itself is pretty enjoyable and the environment of Pandora is pretty interesting and varied. Plus you get to ride a Palulukan, Pa'li and Ikran. (Also Toruk at the end) The bit about killing the mind controlled animals of Eywa is indeed sad but in another way you could think that you would be returning them to Eywa, releasing their minds/souls.

Some aspects of the game seem pretty goofy, but visually I'm inclined to recommend it, though I've never played it myself

1. Maybe. If you ignore the bad storyline and just have it as a way to be on Pandora and kill some ayskxawng marines, then it might be, although there are still a load of things in it that really annoy me.

2. No
3. No

Check out the epic pictures in this thread.

If you want to experience pandora, then Avatar the Game is where you can do it.

You are incorrect about the Demo. I just downloaded it and played it. Yeah they released one. Unfortunately you are the RDA in the demo.

I bought the xbox version, PC special edition version, and PC regular version. I believe that if you are that much into Avatar, you will enjoy it.

The game takes place BEFORE the movie so things will seem a little out of place but it takes place IN Pandora and it's a wonderful world to explore.
