From my understanding, there could be a genetic predisposition towards different orientations, but not completely genetic (identical twins have a higher chance of being the same, but not always) - it is simply how different people develop.

I think I read a study somewhere where they found that younger siblings were more likely to be gay than their elders, but I don't know how accurate that is.
