Default JC as one of the Na'vi

Hey, I just made another PhotoShopped image of JC as one of the Na'vi. Tell me what you guys think; I still have the whole PSD file, so I can modify it as suggestions arise.

(Your image tag fails, but I can't work out why. )

I like his watch. Also, minor quibble: it looks his right ear intersects his hair strangely, but I think that's just am ambiguity. Also, his eyes are still human, which somewhat spoils the effect.

However, I do have to give you kudos for picking an image that has so much skin exposed. It looks awesome.

It's fixed now.

I completely agree - how's this one? I decided to go with a night-time shot with bioluminescent dots:

The new one is broken for me The first one is kick ass, except maybe what Clarke said about the eyes-- also his nose is a bit narrow, but I guess that could just be the way his avatar is

I don't know why it does that... I fixed it, anyway.

I unfortunately can't really make the nose that much wider without distorting the face beyond recognition.

I'm not really sure - but do you think his eyes should be closed just a tad bit more? They seem a little wide, but that's just me - either way, I can fix it easily.

No actually, I think it looks awesome the way it is in the second one, and the nose doesn't even bother me

It seems that you're using a weird image host which doesn't allow hotlinking. Try imagshack or imgur, or just post a text link.

Anyway, very nice. If you're looking for improvements, I'd say his eyes are a little small, and the stripes on his face maybe a bit dense, but it's still good

I quite like it. Only thing I can see as well as the eyes maybe needing to be a bit bigger is the nose could be a bit wider. Other than that, great job!

@HumanNoMore: I agree with your suggestions, and have made the changes below. What do you think? Also, it was that problem - I'm using ImageShack now and it seems to work great. I was using postimage.org.

@Pa'li Makto: Thanks

I like the nighttime ones a lot, but the darkness of his left ear seems a bit off since that ear is on the side with one of the prominent light sources. How'd you accomplish the stripes? Did you draw them manually or manipulate some pre-existing pattern?

I used a zebra stripe pattern, deleted half of it, duplicated the other half and mirrored it, and then placed it so that the pattern was symmetrical. Then I used the Liquify tool in PhotoShop to fit it to his face, and used a semi-transparent eraser tool to change the opacity.

I think you're right; the lighting looked a bit wrong. How's this?

I think that's much better.
