Default My Thanksgiving Thoughts

I wrote this as a note/journal today and thought I would share it with all of you. Oel ngati kameie ma ayeylan and a Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone….

I started reflecting about the things that I am thankful for this last year and thought I would share them with you all.

In light of what our country (and world for that matter) is going through with the economy and financial turmoil, I am SO blessed to have such a fantastic job and to be able to work with such wonderful people at IGT. It has been a fun yet challenging job at times but I truly enjoy what I do.

I am so thankful to have such great parents and siblings whom I love with all my heart. Even though I am not able to spend as much time with them as I would like, I think of them always and I just want them to know how much I love them. I am so proud of them all and I absolutely love my nieces and nephew. It has also been great to reconnect with my uncle, aunt and cousins again this past year both in bad and good events this past year. Much love to them and their families.

Most of all of which I am thankful which has had the biggest impact on my life and I am grateful for is my “other family.” I saw a movie in 2010 that changed me, my life and how I see things forever. Avatar was truly inspirational to me on so many levels but the one thing that I am thankful for was the family I have gained from the Avatar realm.

I am blessed to have met such beautiful and wonderful friends because of Avatar and they have inspired me to be a better person in all I do. We have quite a unique bond all of us and I love them all dearly. I was really glad to have met a few of them in Seattle in June for the Avatar Exhibit and I got a kick out of how well we all connected and got along with another.

Seattle was an amazing experience and I was so happy I was able to see that part of the country along with meeting my “blue clan.” I am looking forward to doing it again in Seattle for the Avatar Meet in 2012.

Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and please remember what you are thankful for. I know I have so much to be thankful for I hope to keep that with me every day of my life and not just to think about it on Thanksgiving Day. I feel so fortunate to have what I got in my life and not to take things for granted. May God and Eywa bless you today and your families. Love to you all. Oel ngati kameie ma frapo.

Love,

Tammy ^_^
