Animals that repersent the navi

Hey guys does anyone else think that cats are the closest living creature to the na;vi on earth i was just admiring a cute kitten the other day and realised look at there ears very simurlar to a navi's ear. my brother has a cat and i notice a cat seems to hear your voice from miles away and seems to pick up on if theres danger near or very far disant sounds. this got me thinking about the scane in avatar where neytiri and jake are asleep as the scarete tree is being bulldozed down and neytiri's ear seem to flincth like she senses danger and can here trouble comming. just like how they say cats can perdict if danger is close by. i was really amazed by how simerla they both reacte. please post your thought and comment on this subject.

Humans have instinctual reactions to sound too - honestly, I'm quite critical of the majority comparisons to Earth animals with the primary exception of humans. Pointed/moveable ears are found everywhere, as are more blended faces than humans.

i dont know cats just seem to be more na'vi than any other animal that i have found.

I'm kinda in agreement with you, NeytiriOmaticaya. And it's true the Na'vi have feline (or certainly feline-esque) physical traits.

I noticed that facial reactions, ears and tail twitching are all similat to that of cats. If you live in the wilderness, you become attuned to noises. Large ears that move directionally would be a clear advantage. The large eyes and facial structure at the bridge of the nose is definitarely felinesque! I wonder if other clans could have ocelot or leopard patterns of camoflage?

I see the Na"Vi as Half Amazon Human , Half Feline. Because the Feline Family express body langage through the Ears and Tail this makes the Na'Vi quite a bit more expressive then a Human , "Yet" they share enough human traits so that we "relate" to them on quite a number of levels as they are very much like "Us".
There mytholigy touches on deep memorys of our own Native Peoples, with terms like "primitive" and savage thrown
in by Our people that make us reflect on our memorys. Avatar "flips" around almost every film example out there, as its "Us" that are the Aliens on there world.

under the infulence of mind altering substances, it seems to be a part of human subconscious primal understanding, The Bond Betwean Human and Animal. If you listen
Native Wisdom keepers speak. they all share storys of when Man and animals "Conversed" A long time Ago.
In Camerons example "The Na'Vi Still Do" but he uses a unique example to visualy expresss this.
