Dahhhh...yes! I remember this one!

This was something HNM started and it did result in a bit of progress..

I found out there there were other clans looking into meeting up and some folks on Avatar Wiki were actually forming a team to plan an Avatar Convention!

I ended up joining them and there were a few others from here too. We got as far as doing a survey for the convention and got a lot of input.

There was even a fact finding trip to Washington DC by some of the team to find out where it could be held. When the June meet up idea came along, it kinda stalled and the focus shifted to the June meet up.

We decided to get in touch with other forums to invite people to come along, which they did. I got in touch with the Learn Na'vi community and found out they were planning a similar meet up in Seattle. Only it was in July.

We still kept in touch with each other, though, and passed infomation between us to help each other out.

The actual June and July meet ups came and people didn't want there to be one offs, so we set about forming a team to plan one for 2012 and here we are!

So there you go. That is the story so far and I'm sure it will continue...

Alan

Default This Coming Summer (2012)

So, ma yawnetu and I are planning on coming up to Seattle this coming summer for the meetup, WHERE can we go to get the information on hotels that will have specials for Na'vi, and other details about the meetup?

Ateo Le Syaksyuk and I just registered for the event, the Backpacking event, COSPLAY,and a group camping site. I will reserve the Hotel room for the two of us when I get my V.A. check on the 30th of this month. It will be GREAT to see you there, just look for a six foot tall half Cherokee in a Flightsuit, with Jump Boots on, at the cosplay. (My actual Army Flightsuit and JumpBoots.

I tried to sign up for the newsletter on the profile page, but could not activate the hotkey. It make me Keftxo.
If you want to see the most recent photo of me, only a few months old, take a look in my album at a photo that I loaded the other night on my standing on the edge of our runway, with a Mosin Nagant rifle in my hands. Not bad for a 61 year old, HUH?

Hmm, the profile signup does appear to be working. What browser are you using?
