Ok, so as we all learned with Avatar, Cameron, gets a lot of inspiration from classic science fiction books and comics he read as a youngster.
And since in his ABC Tv interview this past October, he has confimed that Avatar 2 will focus on the Oceans, to draw attention to the 'environmental concerns' of our 'blue planet' (referring to the oceans), i was doing a bit of digging and found this website with a listing of a lot of Sci-Fiction books on Ocean or Underwater themes: SciFan: Science Fiction & Fantasy Books by Theme: Underwater living - Ocean worlds & cities (novels, anthologies, short story collections, non fiction) Any one familar with any of these books, and what might be some of the guesses for which 'themes' or imagery, he might draw upon in his creation of the underwater world of Pandora? Just figure its as good a shot as any, like everyone else, I'm looking for 'leaks' to give us some hint of whats to come! ![]() edit: This one sounds interesting, more about plot, than creatures, still though, there is some resonance i could see that could be a possibility http://www.paperbackswap.com/Space-S...ok/0441777678/ ***

"Its only 'here' that we lose perspective, out at the Cosmic Consciousness Level things get a lot clearer. For example, there is an actual star pattern that is traced in the shape of a Willow Tree, across the breadth of the Milky Way! And no wonder Indigenous peoples refer to the 'here after' as the Happy Hunting Grounds! Has it ever occured to anyone why the bioluminescence dots, on the Na'vi!"
