As much as I appreciate them playing it... I thought it wasn't so good. The conductor seemed to have no actual sense of the music they were playing.
BUT there's also this. Quality isn't so good but short answer *yes* there have been live performances of the music (even if not conducted by Horner himself). The LA Philharmonic is good ![]()

Oh it's posted here..
![]() I found there aren't many ways to criticize it, it's already very good to see a band performing in front of you.. (in a concert or on screen) If you say the conductor didn't got the sense, I've found many other are worse than this, this is one of the reason I post it.. One more is that because they were not performing the usual track 10, 4 and 13 (in OST) "march" series, so it's more catching to me.. As I've done something on arranging the soundtrack, I've understood (and hope you too) every steps are harsh work, and they even really performed it. Every time you want it to sounds like original, every time you're disappointed as it fails. Basic reason is the original isn't 100% real, some parts are synthesized, but mainly because that you heard the original one FIRST, it created the sense in your head and makes you harder to think of other version sounds acceptable. Glad to see there are much more people here concerning it. Irayo ma frapo. ![]() (I'm not the poster of that video on youtube or part of the band, just the one in LN) |
