I left at 3:00 AM to go climb 3 peaks. Flattop, Hallett and Taylor. (I'd never been on top of Taylor before the hike.)

I got back home at 7:30 PM and the hike was about 16 miles with about 6,000 ft total elevation gain.

I recorded a bunch of clips along the way to show people how awesome (and dangerous) Colorado winter hiking can be as well as to give everyone some cool info about the area and winter hiking in general.

If anyone ever comes through CO one day and wants to give something like this a try, just ask me.
Stunning!

Very envious of you there Aketuan to have such a wonderful landscape to enjoy on your doorstep.
Being high up in the mountains, although physically demanding, is without doubt my favorite place to be.

I can appreciate the levels of fitness and commitment you need to achieve this sort of thing as I've done it myself, in the Swiss Alps, albeit a few years back now until more recently back problems stopped me in my tracks.

A recent op seems to have sorted me out and I'm ready to start this adventure again, although the European Alps is my obvious destination.
The peaks there are of a similar altitude to those in Colorado by the looks of it.

I have skied in the States but never hiked, so it is something I would like to do in the near future, although finding time to do these things can be wishful thinking sometimes.

If I ever visit your neck of the woods, I'll be sure to look you up.

Congratulations on completing your hike!
