Default Na'vi Clothing and Jewelry

Kaltxi all! I'm looking for pictures of the Na'vi from the other clans like the direhorse and ikran clans. I'm working on putting together a Na'vi costume for myself and I'm trying to get ideas of all the different items that are worn. Even some different ones of the Omatikaya would be great. I'm also interested in the outfits and body/face paint worn during the big battle at the end. Anything would be appreciated. Irayo!

I totally agree with you Emily! Yes, I think it would be totally fun to do it. I used to do this kind of stuff years ago but kind of stopped doing it. I would love to try and dress up as an avatar since they wear shorts and tanks. LOL It's a year off so who knows, maybe I can get into better shape by then. I love the idea of doing some avatar cosplay for sure! Too fun!

Interesting...

I had a dream last night that I was a Na'vi again (this would be #15 or 16, I think), and I was at some sort of party/meal at the Omaticaya's hometree. I was wearing a loincloth again (!?) and some random female gave me a dreamcatcher that she had made for me when it was over.

I remember being really touched by it, but there was something more to the dream and the reason why I got the gift that I can't quite grasp anymore...to be honest, I don't know if the Na'vi actually have dreamcatchers, or if someone just made that one up.

Anyway, more on topic, I would be curious about things like scabbards and sheaths for knives and spears and such.

I'm thinking about trying the cosplay thing myself and I'm trying to think of other kinds of weapons I could carry for show.

Good idea Raiden! I'd like to see some of those as well.

It would be so awesome if everyone showed up next year dressed up in some way.

There appears to be lots of braided leather and sinew , embellished with bone and shell.
It is not inconceivable that trading would have occured among the clans. Among the American SW Hohokam peoples of ancient time, parrot skull, seashells and sea turtle shells were found in the desert dwellings. These were identified as cooming from Central American. This was long before horses were introduced. The na'vi had dire horses and Ikran from which to travel and trade.

For sure, if the Omaticaya knew about those other two clans, they probably traded with them, assuming Pandora isn't uniform all over (which I hope it's not; that would be boring )

I already have seen variation in decor for the sea going tribes.
I am holding fast to my opinion that there is room for individual as wel as clan expression.
