![]() I was wondering if anyone has, or has thought about writing a na'vi language guide in the style you might find in the language section of a library or book store. It would be very helpful. I myself have no group to help me. I have memorized many words, but don't always know how to use them in sentences. Have downloaded alot from learnnavi.org. But it is limited. I want to find everyday sentences that would relate to Na'vi life on Pandora. Such as " I Am going swimming, do you want to come with me." Or lets get or Ikrans and go hunting...stuff like that... It would even be nice to have sweet little nothings for those ingaged in Tshaeylu...I don't have a group to belong to and all I have is Steven Langs short Na'vi lessons and The Avatar movie to which I have on the computer and use headphones to learn how to pronounce. Though I still don't have any real rules about sentence forming in Na'vi...Can anyone help or point me in another direction. I sure would apreciate it...Irayo ma oeya tsmukan si tsmuke....

have you downloaded Na'vi in a Nutshell or Horen Lì'fyayä leNa'vi? VERY great guides for grammar and putting sentences together. I also really recommend joining LearnNavi.org or at least lurking on the forums there. there's LOADS of good helpful info there. People there such as I would be happy to help you out.
But since I'm here, I can translate those phrases you have included in your post just now: "I am going swimming. do you want to come with me?" --> Oe kerä fte slivele. Nga new oehu ziva'u srak? "let's get ikrans and go hunting" --> "tivaron hu ayikran ko" I am working on a YouTube channel, if that is any help. So far it is basically a rundown on some grammar stuff. If there's one important thing about learning this language and using it: You must learn to think differently; Translate the meaning, not the words. Because there are many vocabulary grammar differences. |

One more thing, if you're wanting to say 'help me again please' that would be "oeru srung sivi nìmun rutxe." The sh character cluster doesn't exist in Na'vi. Just so you know
