Go family! I can easily imagine you flying your ikrans side by side, like Jake & Neytiri!

I often dream in full color with background music and plots that are distorted and combined from movie plots I have just watched. Sometimes I speak or sing in an unknown language but everyone else in the dream seems to understand me.
(Lately my dreams include gathering artichoke-like plants on Pandora to share as food.)
I never remember the music past a few minutes, though it is usually a full orchestral score!
^^^cool this night - iirc - I was gathering medicine plants & mushrooms, all bioluminiscent, in an area close to Hellgate - I had to do it very fast & run & not to get myself into trouble, so my ears were pricked up & twitching, & the tail whipping the whole time altho this dream should go to "I dreamed about Pandora thread". We also have Dreams (general) & Out there dreams on the forum - for something Really special.

Uy, the RDA are coming! I disappear into the brush, jump on my ikran & fly away.

I suppose if it were an uncommon occurrence and I heard a clearly defined, elaborate song in a dream, I'd be more in a hurry to acquire some proper equipment and work out what it was.

THIS IS SO TOTALLY AWESOME. I ALSO DREAMED OF PICKING HUGE PANDORAN ARTICHOKES. Fair warning: I just might steal your imagery for my fanfic on the LN site!

OK Apache, here is where her story is. It is four or five pages on the site long, there is a separate thread for to put comments, requests, and suggestions on. Start at page one, and read the whole story, up to where she is now.

ATEYO TeSYAKSYUK: TSULFATU

Try the above, that should get you to the beginning of the story.

^^^irayo! both of you sent me this link & i even had quick a look (I am at work) - I do like it! This story-telling - gift giving tsulfätu Ateyo character is great But you people know Na'vi much better than me, & the story is full of Na'vi words, so I'll have to read it with a Na'vi dictionary in hand! Irayo anyway, it's a good motivation

Coming back to the OP - it would be nice to hear More musical dreams!

Well, not a dream, but since I discovered the OST I See You on YouTube it simply moved into my head & it's the first thing i hear when I wake up, & the last thing I hear when I fall asleep

Lately, I started getting "Love Reign/Rain O'er Me" track by The Who - then it switches to OST, then back... I haven't listened to "Love Reign..." in months, and to OST in some weeks (why, if it's always with me anyway?). I love both songs, I just wonder what's going on & why, it seems, they are cooperating? or conspiring?

lyrics for "Love, Reign O'er Me."

I'm not sure what you mean by musical dreams, but I had a dream that I created a song and it was just perfect. The chorus would be so amazing. I tried to remember it when I woke up but never could. This happened to me on about 3 different occations. One of them, I actually remembered how it was when I woke up, but I didn't write it down or anything so I forgot. Later that day I kept trying to remember but I just couldn't. I was so bummed about it.

I looking at Avatar and researcing its cultural connections I have found some "posably" intresting connections relating to dreams and Avatar , JC in building the films connections my have used spiritual connections from native dream peoples ,We all know the Na'Vi are the "Omatacaya clan, its very likely that the world is a Split betwean "Olmec-Maya" if you look at connectons both cultures share its a deep spiritual connection to dreams and there power to change peoples lives the Olmec toltec people quite strongly so, simply search on youtube "toltec the power of seeing" If james cameron used spiritual dream cultural examples in Avatar it mey explain why some people so strongly connect with ther heart and relate to the film at a spititual level , they may all share a colective dream as a people , given the number of dream refrences the movie makes, and how they are connected, it may be a posability its a difficult question to answer from our cultural perspective we would need to talk to people in the Olmec-Mayan spiritual community and thats not an easy task.

Musical dreams don't always have to do with Avatar.

allroock123, dreams and "the power of seeing" is a fascinating subject (at least for me, a Dreamhunter I learned a lot about seeing & other things from The Teachings of Don Juan (Carlos Castaneda) - the old tsahik was a descendant of Toltecs, wasn't he?).

We have a few dream threads on this forum:

I dreamed about Pandora

Dreams (general)

Out there dreams
(I should have called this latter Out there experiences - so that people can share their visions, meditations, NDE, OOBE - if anybody had them...

Feel free to share

And welcome to Tree of Souls!

Update: Theorist, since you made this thread I had 3 musical dreams!

Here goes one:

The dream was pretty much like RL (real life), only that here, in the RL , I made some errands, & felt tired & went to have a siesta (a midday nap) - and in the dream, I came back tired from the uni to my parent's house - and went to have a nap, too. In my dream, I was hearing a song on the radio, it was 70s-like, a bit hippy-ish and even childish , & it was saying: "Relax & rest while you have the chance- and then you'll jump & sing & dance!" It was funny because I was fully aware that I was dreaming so I was doing my darnedest to remember the song & the tune in order to tell about it later, when I wake up I don't remember the music now but yes the content. It seems just the right thing for me right now. I just can't wait till this "hibernation in cryo" is over & I'll "jump, sing & dance" again! If I remembered the tune I would be humming it.

Altho it didn't involve any special overwhelming feelings but it was important for me in its own way.

There was one more dream, or even, another song in the same dream, but I'll post it later when I am out of the RDA lab.

ok I have a bit of time now so here goes the 2nd musical dream. In fact it's Part 2 of the previous dream in the above post:

This one started as a song on a radio but then turned into an animation, like one of Gorillaz. A kid bored witless in his school tried to pull pranks on teachers thinking himself so cool. He looked rather Neanderthal-ish: he was very hairy, had a very big jaw & a very small forehead. He was also very short, could hardly reach the teachers' waist, so the only prank he was capable of was to pull their skirts. All the teachers were called Miss Something & looked exactly the same, like cloned twins. They didn't take him seriously & would just say: "Oh, silly kid!" - while he, not facing any serious resistance, was getting braver & braver. Eventually the twin teachers got fed up with him & complained to the director who looked like a Grandma: she was much taller & bigger than the twin teachers; she was wearing something black, had spectacles & her hair was in a bun. The kid was by then thinking himself invincible & he tried to pull her skirt, too, really hard, & he almost tore it... & the Grandma didn't like it. She turned around & gave him such a Wham!!! that he went flying into a corner & sat there scratching his Neanderthal head.

The tune was like one of Boyz bands, I still have it in my head, and the lyrics went "So you'd better go do it, big director, big boss..." but it was ironic, wasn't it: the kid thought himself "big boss" - but he faced "a bigger boss". The moral of this dream song/animation - as I understood it - was about "this is what you get when you mess with that", "action - reaction": before pulling a (what you call) prank on anybody, think: will you be able to handle this "somebody's" reaction? Something like that.

For the second time now, I have had a musical dream and it has both left me in wonder and frustration...

I went home from university the other day, to celebrate my birthday and when I returned, I had brought my small midi keyboard with me, so that I could keep working on synth engineering while I was at uni. The other night, I went to sleep and had an odd dream (as usual) but during it, I remember being sat at the desk in my room. I was on reason and had set up a number of synths, and was playing about with some melodies obver the top of a baseline and programmed beat. It was seriously one of the best Autonomic tracks I had ever heard, the bass, the beat, the chord progressions, all of it was *exactly* what my ears wanted to hear - and it just came from my head, out of nowhere at all. I have been killing myself these last few days, trying to remember it - any of it - with no luck at all

I really wish I could remember my dreams, let alone for one of them to actually be normal.

you need a dream recording device, pity it's not invented yet
