Heh, even if you did record them, i'd more than likely end up in an asylum if you watched them.
![]() Still, better to have a dream I remember than just eyes closed > blackness > eyes open (10 hours passed)

Dear God no. Last thing I need is to re-live being attacked by zombies every damn night.

A dream recording device would just do all my work for me, since I'm at a school where majoring in "Film" just means you make a short by yourself twice a year with no school equipment or assistance from your peers. My dreams always make enough sense that I could turn them in as a project

ok how about this? If a Dream recording device existed, you choose whether you need it or not
![]() another thing is bringing a dream to reality & materizing it: a literary genius (Shakespear? Pushkin? Tolstoy? all of them?) used to Dream good parts of his masterpieces, & then wake up & write them down like crazy - in order to make sure he wouldn't forget them. Based on that, I imagine it's possible to train one's mind to wake up when you dream of something perfect (or at least important) & to write it down - or record that music - or film it - or do whatever which will help you to "make the dream real" so to speak. If they could do it, then you can too, I guess it's only the matter of setting one's mind on it. Like some people train themselves to wake up at a certain hour Without an alarm clock. It's a very simple version of "setting one's mind up (to something in a dream/sleep)" but it works.

This one was a bit... special.
![]() The RL: My father-in-law was not well for a while, eventually he entered in dementia senil (unfortunately the violent, not the serene, variety), had a bout & was taken to a hospital. It came to the point that he could have died at any moment; I felt really sad that he was in this state feeling bitter & horrible instead of enjoying & living fully the days that were left of his life but what to do. The night after I heard that news I had this dream: I was sitting with a friend in a street, a light (light = soft & also shiny) rain was falling on our heads & we were singing one of Amma's chants that I hadn't heard before. We were also listening to it but I didn't see the musicians & the singers, so I don't know where the music & the song were coming from. I had an impression that it was a funeral chant that was meant to "facilitate the transit to the other side" but I wasn't sure - and as soon as I thought "I am not sure" it the chorus started repeating "tanato, tanato..." - & I thought "this chant certainly seems to have this purpose!". When I woke up of course I thought about my father in law, but then I said mentally: "Whoever is this soul who is going, I wish it a safe journey & to enjoy the vacations on the other side". Just out of curiosity I googled Wikipedia: Tanatos - the Greek god of death. Now then! The English version says that Thanatos was a cruel character hated & feared even by gods. Thanatos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia However, the Spanish version says that Tanatos symbolizes a peaceful non-violent death and in fact he disliked gods for their intrigues, scheming, tricks & messing up his job! Tánatos - Wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre Which has convinced me yet again that Wikipedia is NOT an impartial source of information... The facts could be interesting but they are usually colored by the author's opinions. All said, & keeping in mind the context of my dream, I liked the Spanish "non-violent & peaceful death" version better... PS My father-in-law died a few days later, peacefully, in his sleep, surrounded by his children & grand-children - so his fear to die alone didn't materialize, after all... Thanatos did a fine job
