Thx! learned alot from modeling these two, almost makes me want to redo them and add alot more detail
But then i'd never get done. Plus the more detail on them the more detail i have to put in the backgrounds, plants etc aswell.

Anyway here's a quick and dark test render on bioluminescence for the plants.
For smaller plants i just use (modified) paintFX (standard plants in maya).
The bigger plants like the ones here i have to make myself. These are rigged aswell so they move properly when bumped into or if the leaves are pushed away.
Ive been testing on the color and how i can adjust them from day to night.
When it gets darker i have to gradually bring up an extra texture with the bioluminescence info. Found a way, now i just have to tweak things a little

plants are looking really good, but maybe add some more polygons to the trunks of the plants to make it more curved? it all looks great in the dark cant wait to see everything lit up

The bioluminescence and the detail on the Warbonnet ferns looks great so far. When you finish this it will look amazing.

Hmmm is that their actual name? Better then my current plantB
And no i havent applied at Weta, lol, i wouldnt even dare to do that
Thx alot tho!

Anyway, another plant is more or less done, ill tweak it when its combined with other plants in the scene.
I dont really have any important plans for this plant in my animation but i do want it in and be able to retract

Oh and btw, i dont believe these have a bioluminescence glow pattern right?
