As of right now, if you had your choice, which would you prefer
Access to any video game ever made and you can't play any video game released from this point on? Or Access to any video game ever made after today and you can't play any video game released prior to now? |

Hmm. Hard.
I'd personally say that this question is a bad decision either way, as it's either choose newer, more powerful games, or the games that you've fallen in love with so deeply.

A hard one indeed. I would probably say
Access to any video game ever made after today and you can't play any video game released prior to now? Simply because newer better games will always emerge in the future. Perhaps superior sequels to the games I like now

I wouldn't only choose one

Easy choice for me. The second one, because well... I haven't really played video games up to this point

If I had to choose I'd choose the first one because I find that while there might be really interesting new games they would never be the same as the old games that I really enjoyed. Most of the games that I play are old ones.
![]() Ideally though, a person wouldn't get themselves into a position of having to choose one or the other to begin with.

Second choice.
Any game that I cared enough to play, has been played to death at this point. Not to say it would be painless, but the pain of losing an older game forever would be a lot less compared to not being able to play something in the future that could be beyond all expectations.

A little off topic, but this same (very interesting) question could also be applied to movies...
Could any of us make that choice? - Mikko
