Trudy's Poem

I sit here, in my seat
Pulling at levers, ready to face my defeat
I know my time has come,
I’m sorry Jake

I look through the cracked glass
I know my time has passed
It was a happy life,
I’m sorry Grace

I pull my last strings,
Sending my missiles at rapid speed,
It was all worth it,
I’m sorry Norm,

I stare into the jaws of death and laugh,
I know what is to come, I have chosen my path,
I’m sorry Pandora.

BOOM!
this is for you Trudy, it made me cry writing this but I am glad I did.

Thank you so much Amitiri, you put a lot of her attitude into that poem. She never had a memorial in the movie, but you just gave it to her, thank you again.
By the way, if you ever wondered what type of person that I am, all of my friends who have seen the movie said that they did a Character Study of me when they wrote her lines. She even wore her sunglasses the same way as I have since I was a teenager. Her sense of humor was the same, her reaction when the newbies saw Pandora from her Samson the first time was the same, the way that she busted the guys out of the jail cell is the same as I would have done it, and the way that she handled the news that they all may be going on a one way mission in the battle for the Tree of Souls was the same.
If you don't mind, I will screen capture the poem, and layer it over a photo of Trudy in the cockpit of her aircraft.

Nice! It's really something to be able to write a poem about a proposed subject, but I guess you're a real poet.
