I was just thinking how those first shots of the grasslands and then the rocky mountains looked very "Middle Earth", and then I got to this:

I only climbed on Mt. Tongariro, which was 1968m high, but not on the LotR-Mountain Mt. Ngauruhoe (2291m). The hike took 5-6 hours with breaks in between...
