Hell I have already heard speculation that The Avengers could beat Avatar for highest gross of all time! Anyway the biggest thing that excites me for the Hobbit is the 48fps/3D. If they can nail that down, make it look good(which is apparently a problem) then I am sold. Hell I am already sold on the weapons design alone! Dear God the Dwarves armor and weapons look good. Also this The Hobbit - Full Production Video Blogs 1-6 - Lord of the Rings - HD Movie - YouTube YES!!!! SO much done right. Real sets, minimal greenscreen, real props, I think I am in love.
