I really love their faces! The emotion is really there, considering you only just started drawing digitally, amazing! Also a good thing you added the extra shading. Oh and the hair is great aswell, like the detail in there.
I would really recommend investing some time into anatomy at this point, it will take your work to the next level for sure. No need for an extreme study, but gather some reference pics, anatomy books can be found real cheap in book outlets or buy one of those small wooden puppet with wire inside that can be set up in all kind of poses. Also not that expensive at an art supplies shop etc. Oh and for the background, i would try to add some soft lines or shading to the background picture to blend it more, imo it doesnt do justice to youre nice and detailed drawing.  Your critique Fierox, is anyway good critique I'm very fresh at this, sow i'm still learning. And i'm taking advices from some of the best, like you. Sow thank you for your advices and critique It's also good to hear that you like the overall detail's in the drawing, i realy put my self into this one And for the background it's just a picture from the movie runned thru a autopainting program  sow it's not that wierd it dont match up with my drawing. But i guess you already figured that out You will see more from me, but right now it's summer in Norway, sow there isn't spent that much time at the computer. More time with my radio controlled helicopters and planes, hehe.. By the way is it this cinde of puppet you ment?

Yeah! little puppets like those can really help
And i can imagine, have to enjoy summer aswell, RC planes and helicopters rock! Im a real novice but hope to start flying again soon aswell with my little robbe parabolic plane. Hardly used it last year tho so hope the lipo's are still up to it

Your lipo's should be fine as long as you don't store them for a long time fully charged or belowe 3,7V pr. cell. I always run a storage program on my charger before i put the lipo's away for the winter. Then they are stored with 3.8V pr. cell Just a tip if you didn't knowe it
