Honestly, not really.

Half-life is a great series, but it's a completely different setting, atmosphere, style, even technology level. It's slightly softer scifi, but not by much.

As for Transformers, that is again, and is far softer from what I've seen (also, BAYSPLOSIONS!), plus personally, not a fan.
