It came out earlier this year but I just now had the chance to watch it:
Story of Change « The Story of Stuff Project It is an interactive video about why "consumer choice" and "voting with your wallet" will not save the planet. Its funny - and it basically says what I once wrote here, that it is a good place to start doing personal action, like using less electricity, getting organic products and so on - but that it cannot stop there. That it simply is not enough to change lightbulbs, take shorter showers and put the trash into the recycling bin. Its a short video and I recommend it. Have fun. Also - what type of helper are you? Take the quiz at the end of the video and if you like to share it, do so. For me it was this: https://storyofstuff.secure.force.co...s?type=builder

Only when we loose ourselves in the stories they have the power to control us. Our culture got lost in the wrong story, a story of death and defeat, of opression and control, of separation and competition. We need a new story!" |
