Default Earth mass planet in orbit around Alpha Centauri B

See Discovery: An Earth-Mass Exoplanet Orbiting Alpha Centauri B - no word on whether it is in the habitable zone. Some brilliant science here.

Sadly, not in the habitable zone.

Human-habitable zone. It always bothers me when people only talk about human habitability.

Well, what's liquid at 1200C?

That's true as well. But I was mostly wondering what's solid at 1200C, as opposed to gaseous, since you need both solids and liquids to build any cell we're currently theorizing about.

You would still get solid carbon, but the rest of the Nonmetals would be gases, leaving molten metals as the only potential liquids on the surface.

Unfortunately metals due to their structure don't make compounds so you couldn't make cells out of them.
