So the United States throws down an enormous import tariff on Chinese Solar Panels, VIRTUALLY INSURING that poor, rural American's CAN'T AFFORD to set up their properties with Renewable Energy, and creating one new job in the United States PV industry. (If they CAN'T AFFORD to pay the increased prices for Chinese panels that WILL be passed down to them, the even HIGHER PRICED American manufactured panels. Is THIS going to hurt the Chinese, and force them to do things the way that the uber rich Americans want it done? HELL NO! ALL the Chinese production output will NOW go to AFRICA!! WAY TO GO, RICH AMERICAN CORPORATIONS, and STOCKHOLDERS, you guts SHOT the energy dreams of MILLIONS of poor Americans right in the ASS.

I thought that this went into effect six months ago. Prices are still low with a lot of panels still under $1/watt.

So it's going where it's more useful? Sounds fine.

It doesn't sound to poor "back to the Earth" Americans. Ateyo and I are fine, we came out here, to the toolies, with better financial resources, but there are people that thus will definately hurt.

Ateyo and I have two that we built ourselves, for a total output of 1.5 killowatts. It is BEST if you have BOTH. That allows you to generate power under far more conditions, and far more often. We have been doing this CONTINUOSLY since 1994, and have NEVER been without power.

You must not actually use very much

Two computers, a flat screen DVD Home Theater system with Surround Sound, a sat-link system, all the lights, and six battery chargers for the 18 Volt Cordless Hand Tools. Also the other tools that are run off the inverters, such as a belt sander, Bench Grinder, and an air compressor for Ateyo's air brushed artwork.

That's actually an impressive load, although I guess only a small part is used at once and I know you've said it uses storage to distribute excess from lower use periods, and the main issue for most people is that you seem not to use power for heating, cooling and cooking. Still a very impressive setup though, even if most people wouldn't have the space to generate so much.

Some of the panels are on the roof of the house, and, some of them are on the ground between the house and runway. One of the things that gives us the huge amount of electrical storage that we have, is that we have so many two volt telephone company batteries rigged in series parallel, that it would be the same as having a giant ten foot long, six foot wide, and three foot high ultra deep cycle twelve volt battery powdering the pure sine wave inverter.
