I don't think anything is meant - things haven't happened before and won't happen again in the same way. Whatever happens happens, and that is a reason to respect others, and not thanks to some magical 'meant to start over' (are the indigenous people in Amazon that are forced to leave their territories "meant to start over"? That's what your post implies to me )
