Re-Watched Avatar... After A Year And A Half

I think that's similar to why it seems sometimes depressing now when it used to only make me feel great. I'm not expecting that to change anytime soon either, but maybe someday, I'll be able to feel that way again.

Even thinking about it can still give me the feeling again... It feels different to how it used to, but it's still there, I think perhaps because my situation is so much different now changes it to a point, but I still think I could watch it again and go back, and I am going to on the 18th

I guess our feelings that we had back 'then' were for that moment in time. It was a special moment in our lives and has led us to here.

I have recently finished a book called 'Save the Cat', which is about screenplay writing. Having read it, I can now see why Avatar wins on so many levels. (Clever bloke that Jim Cameron!) Such as how the 'good guys' go through (enormous) change, which carries us along with them, and the bad guys who never change. Just as HNM eluded to in one of his posts above.

The last time I watched Avatar was at the Meet Up. I must admit I am 'fearful' of watching it again for not having the same emotional rollercoaster ride it has, up to now, given me. It made me feel alive when I first watched it as it took me from the mundane. Sometimes I hear a bit of the music and I can feel the emotion creeping round the corner.

I guess the truth is that because everything changes over time, then so will that 'Avatar' feeling. But that's ok. It's natural. The thing that has come to matter more to me is my Avatar family - YOU! To have the previllege of being able to meet so many of you has filled me to the brim with 'Avatar Goodness'.

I may not post too often on the forums, but just about everyday I'm doing Avatar 'stuff' in the background as my way of giving back to the community and for the Avatar 'experience'.

I have seen Avatar 20ish times give or take. So i figured it would never have its original magic back, I was wrong. Last night I saw the Hobbit in 3D and one of the "commercials" was a bluray commercial for DVD and the spotlight was Avatar. Seeing Avatar back on the movie screen in 3D was breath taking. I wish they would play the entire movie in theatres again

Watched it again now. I get the same emotion, like the first time. It's been an awesome feeling going through the AVATAR experience again, missed it a lot and I haven't seen the movie in a year.

I'm not really fearful of rewatcing it... maybe a little apprehensive, but I know it will still have the impact, even if it's just that it won't feel exactly the same, because I'm in a different (and much better) place in my life now, compared to back then. It's still an amazing film, with a good message, and has changed my life for the better, even if I do have things to live for on Earth now as well.
