Who knows, maybe that'll go over my head just like the Christian stuff the Narnia books are made of.

It's not so much about religion itself but more about certain forms of it that exercise heavy authoritarian control. I'd say the message is more subtle than Narnia until right near the end of The Amber Spyglass when it suddenly gets a lot more obvious, but I only read about 1.5 books of Narnia, then a 2 or 3 paragraph summary of the rest so don't know if thet gets more obvious too or not.

It's an amazing series, I read it when I was about 11-12, I would recommend it to anyone . There is some minor censorship of some editions, but it's just a couple of (very tame) sentences and can be read on Wikipedia easily

Mannsfield Park, Death in Venice, Street of Crocodiles, Mrs. Dalloway, Kafka's Metamorphosis, and Gulliver's Travels.

Senior year of Uni sucks.

"Circle of Light-1: Greyfax Grimwald" by Niel Hancock

It's a nice book. I got it from a used bookstore and it's the 1977 printing of it. It's a softcover but doesn't even have a bar code. It is kind of funny having a softcover before they had bar codes on everything.

Quite a lovely, if confronting, book

La felicidad es un té contigo (Happiness is a tea with you).
It's a Spanish romantic comedy, possibly not translated. One English guy goes to Madrid, meets a Gypsy girl from Cordoba - all fire, passion, and alhambra - and she takes him to meet her family. And everything changes.
It wouldn't be worthy of mentioning on this forum, probably, if it were not for some striking similarities between Gypsy and Na'vi character: they are 100% in everything they do, they love with passion and hate with passion, if you are their friend, they'll die for you, if they consider you an enemy - run for your life! Everybody is a "cousin", blood-related or not (not quite "tsmukan" but still), and if you are in trouble you just say "I need help" - which is followed by an avalanche of phone calls, and they don't ask "Why?", they ask "Where?" - and all the "clans" rush to wherever you need help (with knives and guns, yes - that's their Way).
The book ends with a massive joint operation between the Gypsy community and the ... police... to catch some evil-doer, the first in history (and then, of course there is a wedding and for life).

Now, that would be a whole new level - a massive cooperation between the Na'vi and the tawtute to fight for a common cause worth fighting for!
