Hey AVATAR LOVERS !!! Look what I just found on U-tube. A Japanese company has come up with a neurostimulated TAIL that will wag and twitch, depending on your EMOTIONS automatically!! The tail is shorter than a Na'vi tail, but THAT little detail could be easily worked out it the possibility were brought up to the company in Japan, This link takes you to the Japanese COMMERCIAL for the tail, which is now in production. The complete ears setup is 160 U.S. Dollars, The price of the tail has not been released yet.

For only 160 dollars to buy the setup, you COULD strip the phoney fur off of the drive mechanisms, replace it with very fine leather dyed to the correct colors, and look absolutely BITCHIN. If I had a set, I would take four miniature hearing aid mikes, and place them front, rear, left and right on a leather band that would be decorated to look like a Na'vi headband, feed their outputs into a digital comparator, and enable the ears to automatically turn to wherever a sound came from in relation to the wearer.

I saw the ears before, but the shape/position is a bit off... The tail is interesting, but seems to just move from side to side. Something like this one, albeit more miniaturised is an interesting concept though.

THAT ONE is HUGE, Get a load of THIS one. Look how it twitches in the first seconds of the video. THIS is the one to make look like a Na'vi tail.
As far as the ears are concerned, I am going to get the 160 dollar set, and modify them. I will post the video of them, after I reshape the wire frames, strip the fake fur off, and replace it with blindstitched glove leather from Tandy, and dye the leather to the proper colors. It will probably be some time in January before I am done, and happy with them.

I saw the ears for the first time on YouTube. I was told by the guy who does my makeup about them. You can get them on Amazon for about $100.00 US. I'm going to get a pair and get the big cat ears off and put on some molded Na'vi ears that I have, or I will have some specially made. I am VERY EXCITED about getting them.

I looked at the tail, but it looks very bulky. I don't think I'll get that yet because it won't look right on my body. It will stick out too much. If they get it smaller I would LOVE to have it

On a side note we always have problems with paint rubbing off of us. My make up guy told me about LUX body paint made by Mehron. The paint many of us use already. LUX is MADE for airbrushing and is supposed to be waterproof and stay on better. I'll try it out and let you know.

For Halloween I got dressed up. I went to the doctor about a week later and he looked in my ears and said,"hmmm youi seem to have something blue in your ears..."

I bought a set of these ears. They sit up too high on the head for Na'vi ears. So I cut the head piece in half and used some thin polylexan to spread them out. I extended the wiring harness after cutting it up. I have a nice handmade wig that I put the ear harness under. There are little buds that you slide the ears that came with it. I took the cups that that went with the original ears and put my custom ears on them. I'm wearing them to MOMS in a couple of weeks. I need to put a picture on here when I' m done.
