The many reasons why I love Avatar

I really have trouble separating Avatar, the movie, from Avatar, the experience. This forum is part of Avatar for me, so sometimes when I watch it now, I just think about everyone here Oh well, a big part of movies is how you relate to them as an individual. I've always felt nothing but optimism when watching avatar unless I had something else going on to make me anxious.

Kind of drunk right now, we'll see if this makes sense to non drunkies.

I own very little in the way of Avatar merchandise, because purchasing such things is counterintuitive to many aspects of the movie.

I mainly liked the movie because the ecology actually made sense, and even the things that weren't explained made sense , if you have a good grasp of biology.

Every day, I'm thinking constantly in Avatar, and I can't figure how could I live if I don't love Avatar anymore as the way I do, with everything it has and the good feelings it brings to me. Most of the time, I wonder to live on Pandora, cause life on Earth sometimes makes me sick. If there's one thing that I like so much when I want to talk with someone about Avatar is talking about it with its fans and geeks, like the people who are in this forum and in the other Avatar forums where I am also a user, cause it makes me feel much better and sure with myself.

An experience is the best way to put it, I think. It's as much the other people around it as it is the film itself - without them, I'd have long ago given up on so much.

Certainly a good experience from anything makes someone love that thing. Avatar is a great proof of that, and more than an experience.

I agree with you Esteban, yes, it's one of the best movies in history of mankind and not just a movie, but a movement, a phenomena. Who would've imagined the Na'vi language to be studied and evolved from a state of concept to a real thing ? Who would've imagined that it will trigger strong ecologist movements around the Globe ? Even the technologies showed in the movie are now part of our lives, natural environment started to attract more and more youth and dedicated people to live in.

Anyway, I knew from the first time that this movie would change my life like it changed other's lives.

There are plenty of other constructed languages; I'd say that right now, Na'vi is probably third in level of development and number of fluent and near- speakers after Esperanto (doesn't really count though as it was intended to be deliberately similar to most western languages rather than an alien language) and Klingon.

I want to say too that I love Avatar not only as film, but also as universe, so all Avatar movies, like the upcoming sequels, as all Avatar things, I will love them in the same way as the first one.
