I tried to get my samsung 51" 3D tv to show that preview in 3D but failed. Anyways, I did see the movie in the theater via closed captioning and it was quite good. It could've been alot better but I was satisfied with what was produced. The ending left me going "hmm...wtf".....but hopefully we see more of this in the near future.

I know, I was being sarcastic, but it would be kind of nuts for someone to make a movie about that.

I think the film was good in a sort of gloomy way. It was quite captivating in its doomsdayllike atmosphere. If there will be a sequel I think (based on the end of the movie) it will distance itself further from the "Alien" concept and become even more of an independent story.

In the movie we can see a sort of RDA like company, Weyland inustries. As a spin off from the movie we can now look at this companies own site:

https://www.weylandindustries.com/

The company has made some interesting inventions, among them the flying laser scanner orb that helps the Promethues team to explore the caves in the movie. The orb is called the spectagraph:

By the way, here is some information about the real life "spectagraphs" that exists already today.

Interesting link , although this isn't even particularly new, they've been used in ruins and confined spaces for over a decade, even if they've certainly comer a long way since in sophistication.

I'd honestly not be interested in a sequel to Prometheus though, I think... sometimes it just isn't possible to come back from an ending .
