On a more serious note: Honestly! Are there no more causes worth fighting for???
if gay people adopt kids who are orphaned by wars, terrorism, tsunamis & earthquakes - what's wrong with that? and if God is an argument, I doubt God would view adoption by gay parents as a bad thing! what's the alternative? there are Lots of orphans in the world, the protesters could start adopting some to make the world a better place, not denying other's people right to do something good...

& I can't See how is it gay marriages destroy straight families as if straight people don't divorce! Even, if after that many years of a traditional marriage (& feeling kinda uncomfortable) one partner finally discovers (or admits) that they Do have a different sexual interest, they would go - but it's not like gay marriage is lowering the chances of straight people to get together. What's the issue, really? It's difficult for me to understand.

I know one lesbian couple who hit it off when they were in their fifties, one of them with a 16-year-old kid - when finally the previous socialist government in Spain made gay marriage legal, they were on the news all over the place 'First lesbian marriage ever in Spain!" Now the kid has two mothers and is quite fine, afaik. A great guy actually.

So no, this particular gay marriage didn't damage the kid in any way

And, Spain is a very Catholic country. Sadly, there is a talk that the current conservative government might override this law & ban gay marriage again but they already did so many blunders that I certainly hope they won't be allowed to pull that one.
