And so we made it to Day 3 of our mini-meet. This was going to be our 'Avatar Day'! Unfortunately TOGTE got a message from his work say he was require to help out will an installation for a customer. Bad timing or what!
. So sadly ma tsmukan and his work colleague had to leave before they had chance to visit the exhibition. Very sad only...So that left CyanRachel and I to make our way to the Liberty Science Centre where we would be joined by Crickett. So it was a short walk to the tram stop and 15 minute ride. We did see an advert for the exhibition: ![]() We arrive just before door opening time. Having had our bags searched we used our Na'vi instincts to locate the Avatar Exhibition...well ok we just looked for the signs! ...And there it was! Located on the top floor. We raced up there to find that we were the first ones in! We had the Avatar exhibition all to ourselves! I had previously see the exhibition twice in Seattle, but with me spending most of my time videoing everyone, I never really got to 'see it'. So this was my opportunity with CyanRachel to read everything, watch every video and press every button! Crickett also joined up shortly after we arrived. (I still took some piccies though!) ![]() ^this was the entrance to the Avatar exhibition, just in case you missed where it was! ![]() ^RDA display - engage cat screech! ![]() ^Crickett shows off his Jake T-Shirt with the Jake bust. ![]() ^ When surrounded by Avatar stuff, fans naturally turn Na'vi blue! The exhibition was housed in a larger room that the one in Seattle, which was good as it gave you more room to move about. There was actually riom for more stuff too. we did notice an addition to the collection in the form of the interactive touch screen table game that was demoed to us in Seattle. the was also an additional display about the bioluminescence, which was interesting. We also had a couple of kids comment on our T-Shirts which was cool. So we told them about where they could get them from. Having had one Avatar fix it was time for another! We had tickets to watch Avatar in 3D on the big screen again. So at 17:00 we re-acquainted ourself with the film that had had such an impact on our lives and brought us together. You know the rest. Well, the last day of the mini-meet was a more quiet affair as only CyanRachel and I were able to make it. However, it still didn't stop us enjoying the Avatar Exhibition again as well as explore the rest of the museum which had an abundance of interactive stuff to play with! I managed to snap a few more photos in the exhibition:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Mid-afternoon CyanRachel had to return home, which left me to watch Avatar SE 3D. I managed to sit closer to the screen which seemed give a better 3D experience....apart from the kid sat next to me who kept talking and couldn't sit still. So I never quite 'got in the zone', if you know what I mean. Still that's what kids do when folks take them to a nearly 3 hour film! It was still great watching Avatar though. I just don't get tired of seeing it. It reminds me of the amazing journey my life took since I first saw it in December 2009, the wonderful life experiences it has lead me to and the amazing Avatar community I feel so privileged to be a part of. Irayo ma aysmukan sì tsmuke for making this Avatar mini-meet a success and welcoming me to your country again. Eywa ngahu frakrr, Ta Alan |

Wow, that layout is straight out of the EMP, except a bit more space which was probably especially nice for the first few days.

I really enjoyed revisiting the Avatar exhibit last month at the LSC. As Alan already noted, we had a very small mini-meetup of clanmates (5 of us got to hang out in NYC, and 3 of us got to see the exhibit) to see the exhibit...with the added bonus of a screening of Avatar in 3D at the LSC theater. It was so awesome to be able to watch Avatar on a big screen in 3D again (with most of the audience consisting of regular, non-Avatar-fan people)! And, as Alan mentioned, it turns out the exhibit was "expanded" a tiny bit to include a small section on the biolume of Pandora and how biolume Earth creatures were the inspiration (this section of the exhibit was new, as it was not in the exhibit in Seattle). Anyway, it's just too bad we couldn't get more clanmates to join us, but hopefully many other fellow Avatar fans got to see the exhibit (and Avatar in 3D) at the LSC before it departed for its next destination. And Irayo, Alan, for sharing your photos here with us!
