04:18 < SightUnseen> Well, that was an interesting experience.
04:19 < SightUnseen> About an hour ago I was pulled over by 5 police cars and held at gunpoint by four police officers.
04:19 < SightUnseen> Apparently, the state of Texas recycles temporary license plate numbers.
04:20 < SightUnseen> The plate number on my car happened to have been reported stolen from a dealership in Dallas, 200mi away in 2011.
04:21 < SightUnseen> However, the stolen car was a blue 2003 Buick Century, and mine was a silver 2001 Regal.
04:21 < SightUnseen> Which is similar enough to be in the holy **** lets point guns at this guy area.
04:22 < SightUnseen> All I was trying to do was drive a mile and a half to get taco bell at 1am.
04:23 < SightUnseen> I got pulled over about 20ft from the entrance, so all this happened in the parking lot of where I wanted to go.
04:24 < SightUnseen> The worst part? Not having four cops point guns at you from behind car doors. But after all that was over, it was 2:11 am and taco bell closes at 2.
04:24 < SightUnseen> So, yeah.
04:25 < SightUnseen> I had to put my hands out of the window, get out and lay on the ground, strip searched, shoved in the back of a police car, etc.
04:25 < SightUnseen> And that was all before I knew what the hell was going on.
04:26 < F-22> Isn't that...against the law?
04:26 < SightUnseen> Nope.
04:26 < SightUnseen> They tell you after they shove you in the back of the car and read you your Miranda rights.
04:26 < F-22> !g Miranda rights
04:26 <~Neytiri> google Miranda warning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Miranda warning - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
04:29 < SightUnseen> But still, going from just driving to face first on the concrete makes you question pretty much every recent life choice.
04:31 < F-22> I think LAPD has a reputation for being pretty hard and swift
04:34 < SightUnseen> This was Pearland, Texas.
04:34 < SightUnseen> I think that was literally every police cruiser in town.
04:34 < SightUnseen> Four Crown Vics and a Tahoe.
04:34 < F-22> Damn
04:34 < F-22> probably half the police station
04:35 < SightUnseen> Somewht small city.
04:35 < SightUnseen> Probably.
04:35 < SightUnseen> The cop that followed me waited to turn on the lights until he had two other cars with him.
04:36 < F-22> Whoever stole that car in 2011 must've been one mean mother
04:36 < SightUnseen> I was just like, "Damn, lets hope the swarm calmly following me doesn't notice I'md driving."
04:38 < F-22> Now this reminds me

04:40 < SightUnseen> Also, I have to miss work tomorrow to get new plates. >.>

EDIT: Correction, the stolen car was actually a Buick LeSabre, not a Buick Century.

Europe is not a country, Canadians and Mexicans are all North Americans, and Australia is too big to be considered an island. In my humble opinion.
