Addressing global climate change Is going to take a collective awaking , on the part of the general population , A core collective shift , in our relationship
and awareness to the "big picture" and its impact upon generations to come, once again on a collective global level , people "seeing" and "feeling" our impact upon the natural world around us. Because as a whole our culture and its leadership has such a "disconnect" from such things and usury takes a rather"self centered viewpoint" in why should I worry I will be long dead before any if these issues will have any impact upon "me" this is very true in the western European mind set and deeply frustrates native peoples . This brings a strong light of truth to the statement " environmental issues at there core are human issues" Native peoples in there core cultural and spiritual viewpoints "see" the world from a very deep multi-generational Viewpoint and reflect upon the issues they "see" and there impact upon there children's lives . So my core question is , How can we find ways to "Bridge this Gap" of viewpoints , and get our people on a collective level to reflect upon this as well ? Then find the drive to collectively "Act" upon these core heartfelt "feelings" we all repress deep inside. Avatar through its mirror story was a very powerful example of human creativity applied to just such an issue. and I really don't think people grasp just how deep an impact the film had upon our collective core human viewpoints and upon the underlying "feelings" behind our moral multi-generational inner "accountability" for these issues. We need a honestly try a different way of speaking upon this issue that allows people to "reconnect" with this core part of there vital heartfelt understanding "We where all born with" We need to address , the flaws of "mono-culture" and take a much deeper look at the core flaws in our economic and leadership system structures that lie at the roots of this issue This wont be easy But I feel our people are really staring to collectively move on just this issue asking questions about these structure flaws that lead to roots of our "broken relationships within our community's and the natural world around us" driving this core "sense of separation" and feelings of disempowerment on many levels When we are dealing with people" behind the scenes that like this powerful political viewpoint injustice example below reflects upon. and "see" just how much power and impact Avatar really had and how much politial effort and money is being applied behind the scenes to counter it effect upon there underling "agenda" one will start to see the scope underlying issues we need to "see" and core address. in our system and leaderships influence "agenda" applied through the media to externally influence our peoples "viewpoints" Beautiful but Dangerous Avatar - YouTube (of course there are leaders in our government that don't share this viewpoint) When one looks at structure of native community and leadership one will see the core level of wisdom expressed and there struggle in countering this, native leader "Oren Lyons" speaks upon the core impact and burden they all carry deep inside, our people need to "see" and understand these "feelings" as well. Chief Oren Lyons - Keynote Speech: Keeping the Homefires Burning Gathering - YouTube its my hope that people here will take the time to "listen" to what he has to say.
